Hey all, this is a chance to brag about what you have done to your toy to get all your horsepower!!!:rock So fill us in on year, mods and which dyno you had it on.... gives us all a chance to compare!!! My 06 with a set of Micron cans and a BMC airfilter is 150.45hp at Redwings powercommander dyno. Bring on the figures....:thumbup

Base run on my 05 at Kwaka Tsv on their Dynojet dyno was 142.

With PCIII, GYTR slip-ons, Akra Y-Pipe, BMC filter, Graves Smog block-offs, on the same dyno was 159

Am going to get the 07 base run done shortly on the same dyno.

For reference, a mates ZX14 on that dyno, with Madaz slip-ons and the throttle body mod and a PCIII hit 170rwhp

:) You will find alot of Dyno's read a little optimistic, customers walk away happier if they have some exagerated bullshit figure.

Like has already been said a Dyno is best used as a tuning tool to measure changes as you make them.

Even then a dodgy operator can smudge the figures to make a customer happy.

Truth is most people unless they jump straight from a slow bike to a quick one or vice versa would not know the difference between 140 and 160 hp anyway.

PS, my bike makes 56hp at the back wheel, unless you are going faster than 1.48's at the Island you dont need any more than that. And if you have more but are slower, shame on you! :thumbup

I had mine Dnyo at Dynoverks 2 weeks ago got 154.7 hp at the rear wheel, with only air filter and taylored racing pipes on. The guy said you can't ask for if thats all been done to the bike. So i throw it out there is that alright?

2006 R1
BMC Air filter
Taylored Racing pipes
Braided lines
Wave disc Front & Back
AFM sprocket ( 15 front 45 rear)
Serviced at Balls Tunning

My old 04-R1 at PTR Dyno had 157hp.......only performance mod was Aka, slip-ons...

My 07-R1 will be going to PTR soon......just about finished running it in,the only performance mod is A & R race baffles(which has made a big difference down low to mid),will be interesting to see the difference from the 04 to 07 hp....

nath, i'm sure you've seen this... but it's ashs dyno . redwing tune vs ptr tune. ptrs shows better a/f tuning. not trying to start anything.... just posting what i've been shown.:makeout

yeah, i have seen that chart :cryin but i have also ridden his bike, its quick but it does not feel like its 170hp! you know what i mean... we have played with everything, ign timing, ajustable cam gears, comp tests the works! it is what it is i guess... funny thing is it does not feel like it signs off on the track! it pulls right through to the limiter...   At the end of the day i cant use what its got so why chase more hey! just :riding it...

Depends on the dyno.

2000 R1
Full system Ti Arata
BMC air filter
Factory Pro 59mm Velocity Stacks (i.e. long)
Rejet done by Dynoverks
+4 Ignition Advancer

~143rwhp according to dynoverks (Boronia)
~153rwhp on a run once on a dyno dynamics dynamometer

At the track it'll match a stock or lightly modified 2004 Fireblade down the straight, but I'm also a fairly heavy guy. I know that the long stacks aren't best for peak HP, but I really wanted the engine to behave more like a V2 with a smooth flat torque curve, rather than be peaky, and this is pretty much what I asked Dynoverks to achieve with it when tuning it. The bike has no real power rush, just a strong push everywhere that builds smoothly.

According to dynoverks, rwhp was at or above 140rwhp between 9800-11200rpm, so it has a really broad peak power plateau, and that's exactly the way I wanted it. Allows you to either short-shift, or hold a gear, and the bike doesn't really care. The tradeoff came from <3000rpm where fueling is a total pig, and the bike will chug horribly if it drops below that, requiring a steady throttle and riding the clutch to get off the line smoothly and quickly.

Bring your bike mate...:rock I just spoke to the boss and he is more than happy to run a DYNO DAY if there is enough interest in it!!! Free dyno run, who would not want to??? We will put a BBQ on and stuff, should be good. So put your name down and i will organise it and let you all now when its happening...:riding P.S It will be at RedWing Honda in Heildelberg for those of you that are in!

Last time I checked....... all the racehorses I ride are a massive 1hp at the hooves......... although alot less safe...... crazy animals........

Rode my first trial the otherday, and jumping out of the barriers with ten other horses is pretty much like the thrill of riding an R1..........
Agree, alot less safe. Dale, a mate of mine used to race the things professionally, broke more bones(including his neck)on horses than he has crashing his race bikes(which he does fairly often), I'll stick to bikes thanks.
Actually they probably dont have a horse big enough to hold me anyway.

My 04' R1 w/Graves Exhaust, PC3 w/ignition module, Velocity Stacks, BMG, put out 149.9 on the dyno. Not sure, but dyno numbers seem to be guesstimates. Even the tech at the shop said he has dyno'd the same machine 3-4 times without change and seen 2-4hp differences. ???

When I twist hard, it pulls hard. What more can I ask for?

Still alive, cuz it still scares me at 8000+ RPM's on the dial. Someday I'll move my shift light point above 9 grand... maybe.

As soon as i can afford a power commander ill let you know the power gains of the stock pipes with race baffles if any on a 06 R1 and if your interested. i"ll do it in stages so as i add each item (filter and maybe some stacks) ill have it tested.
