Was going to get a Yoshi can but heard one today and it was quite pathetic. Almost as bad as the standard can. What is ur view on the best sounding exhaust for the 1?

John ... i heard an R1 with an Akra fitted a couple of days ago. WOW ... it sounded really good. I'm pretty sure that it was a full system as I am lead to believe the Exup quietens most pipes down. Arata also seems to have quite a few supporters on here.

I've got a Quill end can fitted. Its well made etc but it is a bit of a pussy in the "sound" department.

I've got a carbon fiber D & D that sounds good, it's not crazy loud like their aluminum cans.

John, it must have been a zyclone, because I have heard many bikes with the RS3 race baffle and trust me, it's a very nice, deap rumble..... I'm sure it would make you wet yourself
I personally know this from experience, i've had both. The Yosh RS3 Zyclone is quiet like stock but the Yosh RS3-race is the sh*t. Sounds just perfect but Akra makes the nicest sound period. Better be prepared to shell out a sh*t load of cake for one though. And the D&D sounds good too but it looks like a Mc donalds straw or pea shooter hanging off the bike, its hurtin small in circumference. Yosh in my mind = best sound for your buck.

I should have mentioned this too, the only way to make the bike sound really pimp is to remove the EXUP bullsh*t. Which means buying a full system not a slip-on. $$$$$$$$$$$ hope yer rich.

I like my RS-3 race slip on. It sounds good at idle, not too annoying, above 5000 rpm its loud as hell, plus it looks good.
:iamwithst :iamwithst I've had many comments on the way my bike sounds... I turned the idle down to around 940rpm or so... really brings out the "balls deep" sound of the bike ;)

Oh what the hell! I might as well include my preference for the choice. The bikes on this thread look awesome! Their choices in exhaust system compliment the bike very well. :thumbup

I chose Devil CF high mount and IMO, the pipe sounds very nice.

I have a Yoshimura RS-3 Race Carbon slip-on and I think it sounds great without being obnoxious. I've gotten nothing but compliments on its sound. Friends riding on bikes with me say it sounds great under acceleration. I got mine for just over $300 brand new.
