I feel like I'm getting raped. I didn't get a very good interest rate. My GIXXER is paid off, but I'm paying $190/month for the 2001 R1. Would have been less, but I got suckered for the warranty and gap insurance.

I'm paying around $200. I thought I was getting raped, but for being 21 and no credit, it's a pretty good deal. Plus I'm not that worried about money right now. The only killer is insurance, full coverage would be right at $5600.00 a year if I had that.

Insurance deals

Speaking of insurance... I just got a killer deal from GMAC. They're covering my 2002 R1 and my 2000 Triumph Daytona for $373/year. That's with the highest policy limits I could get ... $100,000 per person, $300,000 per occurrance, $50,000 property damage, uninsured motorist for the same amounts and $250 deductable.

("Full coverage" doesn't mean much if you get trashed by some unemployed meth addict with no insurance -- and there are plenty of those around here -- and you've only got the legal minimum.)

The local Duc/Yam dealer crashed his ST4 last summer, and says they sent him a check for $1,500 for accessories as soon as he told them it was totalled. He had a little hassle getting as much as he wanted for the bike, but says it was a good experience overall.

Well, i own mine outright. I sold my 748SPS to pay for it. It covered the cost of the bike, covered the insurance, and covered a nice holiday in venice italy for me and the missus. :)

I miss the 748 some times :(, the sound it made was awesome :machinegu , but i think the r1 is more fun to ride, and suits my riding style better.

$200/month 48 months, plus $2300 on the Visa :( got me a new R1. Yamaha didn't trust me with their promotion. That's alright. Most insurance companies don't trust me on the R1, let alone to buy one :thumbup. Those payments average out to $83 a month. It sucks to be 23.

$178 per month and oh yea did I mention that I am making the final payment on April 3, then its PAID for.
I can't wait, no more bike payment. Just think of all the money I can spend on other carbon fibre, titanium toys or maybe I should just start saving for the turbo:jump

Mine's paid off...9266.00OTD on a 2001. Paid cash and put it on my shoulders and walked out with it. j/k

Ohhh....my insurance....ummm NOTHING because i can't find FU@KIN@ insurance on it...i refuse to pay 3700.00/year for Progressive and I refuse to only get liability at 240/year and have something gay happen to my whip. I swear....damn 25k Ducati I paid 520/year full coverage. ITS SUCKING MY WILL TO LIVE!!!

I've already put another 8k into goodies into my bike...the thing has 112 miles on it. It gets wheeled around in a bigass 24ft enclosed trailer. At this rate...i'll NEVER have to buy tires for it.

dkm

PS...i ned to go to the :boobies bar and get some:beer
