Thanks. It feels to be geared a little tall. Anyone running different gearing ? If so what ?

 

All depends on what you want how fast are you willing to go take that top speed and go to gearing commander.i like the standard gearing 190+ I love it

 

I agree. I just feel like starting out you need to ride the clutch out a little more than on my old r1 because of the tall gears.

 

I know but it sounds soooo good riding out the clutch

 

I will never go 190+ so I went with 15/43. I am happy.

Did u go to a 520 setup ?

 

I just swapped to 15/43 as well. I used the stock chain since it's still in great shape.
Pulls harder everywhere and Cruise RPM's are still low in 6th gear at 75. 6th is insanely tall.

I'm very glad I made the change.

Does the speedo compensate ?

 

No!!!!

 

Yes it does.

The speedo is driven off the rear wheel speed sensor not trans speed. so Gearing has zero effect on the speedo. which is pretty bad ass.
My speedo is still dead on by GPS on my phone.

15/44 here.

 

Ill just go -1 (15T) but leave the rear stock at 41T.

 

That's a great option. I plan to switch between 15/41, 15/43, 16/43 for this next race season.

 

Now that I've hit 190 lol, soon as my stock chain and sprockets are worn out I'll be going to the 15/43 supersprox.....anyone have thoughts on whether switching to a 525 or 520 are worth it or nah if you arent racing?

15-16 R1 are already 525 for the stock chains.
