This was my ad, I was asking $1800.00, I accepted $1500 and a Tool I really needed:

Brand fookn new condition with everything attached (w/bearings, rotors, abs sensors, spacers) to both $1400.00 USD to$1800.00 USD

Brand fookn new condition rims with some minor scratches from tire changes $1200.00 USD to $1600.00 USD

Brand fookn new condition rims only (w/no bearings, no rotors, no abs sensor, no spacers) $700.00 USD to $1300.00 USD

Beat to Shieet NOT in new condition (w/bearings, rotors, abs sensors, spacers) $400-$800

You can make it easy on yourself where you will not have the issue of determining what they are worth or how long you are willing to WAIT for the high price sale, or even, kicking yourself for selling too low, for the quick sale, by just giving them to me for free, your headaches are gone! 😂🤣😂

its funny but they appear on ebay hardly ever. strange. then again only 1500 of these bikes are made per year, tho i think they increased that number in the past couple years or whatever.

so yeah there'd be not that many of these since not many of the bikes are made to begin with, but still. 1500 for a set seems a tad cheap but.. ok

Everyone of us “Feels” like you, when it comes to selling our like new pieces from our esteemed bikes. Search here and on Facebook market place, you will find that, the price of past R1 and R1M complete rims have not sold for much more then $1500.00 USD. But many have sold for under $1500.00 USD.

Selling anything has its price set by the market, which you can find, by looking at the current and past prices of wheels sold in the market place.

You also need to understand that R1M rims are also on R1’s, same part different colors, but blue R1’s have blue rims. So when you say “then again only 1500 of these bikes are made per year”, as a way to determine exclusivity and price of your Blue Rims, that you want to ask $2000.00. Like the guy on Facebook, that everyone is clowning. Is it you? You are not realizing that there are way over 250,000 2015+ R1 and R1M’s sold worldwide, to date.

Knowledge is POWER!!!

oh right, forgot that they used the blue rims elsewhere. whatever, the set is something like 4 grand brand new so maybe 1500 is slightly low, is all im saying. in any case, i need to lose these wheels and maybe actually getting rid of them will help me decide on what wheels i want.

so far ive narrowed it down to the thyssenkrupp, or the coremoto, or the bst's....

How about OZ Racing Gass RS wheels there is a used set in gold on this site, with everything on them for $2400.00 USD.

I have a brand new set in gloss black with Brand new Dunlop Q5S 120/70-17front (.5oz for balance) + 190/55-17rear (0 weights needed=tire had perfect balance) mounted for $3200+ shipping. Been mounted on bike for pics but never used on roads. Comes with wheel bearings installed, rear hub with 43 tooth Sprocket Specialties installed, you only need attach front and rear brake rotors/ABS rings and you are ready to go. But I also have used OEM rotors with red middle carrier, I can throw in for free.

Personally I would go with Thyssenkrupp Carbon Wheels, but I would be selling them at this point, too.

comparing used pricing to OEM new pricing doesn't really work. OEM price are heavily inflated. Take offs are take offs, I think anything between 1000-1500 is reasonable. Anything more for a take off only stock setup is going to be tougher to sell. just my 2 cents.

I see people trying to sell their stock exhaust can for $500...cause they price it against OEM new pricing. And obviously that ad has been sitting there for years, no surprise.

the term takeoff really only applies to tires, you weirdo =D

my wheels are perfect and ceramic coated. i guess ill just slap them on ebay and leave it at that, /sigh first world problems eh

i cant seem to find anyone in the entire state of california that actually used the thyssenkrup wheels. they seem damn impressive especially if their strange design keeps them from, you know, exploding...

I think anywhere near the 1400-1800 range would eventually sell.

@dcase4246 is an absolute badass and helps so many people including myself, he could curb the entire used market pricing 🤣. I actually have his OEM rotors that I ran for a few races because one of mine warped, and they’re still on my blue wheel as a spare since I scored the black wheels from bobblehead.

Here is an example of what we are talking about, for the R1M 2015-2019 the stock carbon fiber fairings are over $12000.00 USD. Look how much this guy has posted them for:

If you want to post high this isn’t the website to get that sale in a hurry. It took me several months to sell them for my asking price. In the long run you can ask for whatever you feel is good for you. Good luck!!

k take it easy there big guy, i dont think the price police were called for just yet. "high" is relative but hell, half of what it costs to buy something direct isnt really high at all, its somewhere around what most folks would call normal. when i get around to it i'll just list them on ebay i guess. this site isnt NEARLY populated/trafficked enough to sell much stuff anyway =P

#18 ·
oh i "get" it just fine.. your facts are really just your opinion. the only thing i'm concerned with is logic.

logical premise #1 - you or anyone else thinking that a "fair" price for a popular item is something like 25% of retail, especially when the item in question is in perfect condition = retarded. i wasn't put on this earth to subsidize your mods, mate, being cool aint cheap haha. gotta pay to play.

your human shitty-ness is showing.. i'm thinking that much of what you say comes from the fact that you want what i've got, and it colors your words. hell, the first thing you said in the thread was that you want the wheels and that i should give them to you =D

just cuz someone cant afford something, doesn't mean the price is wrong. no big deal either way, we all enjoy the ride regardless of the color of our wheels.

Sold many things at 20% retail to 75% retail...the market will pay what the market will pay.

Retail pricing doesn't mean anything in the used market. Demand and supply, simple economics 101.

Guys are trying to help you out since you asked, but planetbuster is on his high horse talking down people whenever he hears something that doesn't resonate with his bias opinion. You must be a lovely person to hang around. ;)

Didn’t mean to get you upset, just sharing my opinion, don’t need any rims, just trying to help you. If it’s bothering you Im am sorry. The whole premise is if you ask high it will take longer to sell, if you go lower such as other rims that have sold on this site it would go faster. It took me 2 months to sell asking for $1800, took $1500 and a tool, I needed. That is all, I did a bad job conveying that to you, I guess like I had a stick up my ass, so again I apologize. BTW The wanting your rims was a joke, to make ya laugh. I just sold a clean Blue Set from my R1M:

Have a pleasant day…

EDIT: Funny thing is, you asked "What's a fair price for the R1M blue wheels?" and I'm giving you my opinion and you argue with me, so why ask?
