Carbon fiber is treated just like paint because it has a clear coat over top of it. Waxing is a must is helps with the fade and micromarring that occurs over normal life.
I keep this in my favorites and use this procedure for carbon fiber parts on my other vehicles as I don't have any on my bike.

1) – First wipe the component down with Meguiars Quick Detailler, Optimum’s No-Rinse, or something similar to thoroughly clean the part.
2) – Second use a clay kit similar to the Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit to remove all above surface contaminants.
3) – Next go ahead and clean the component again using your choice from the first step.
4) – If the component has light swirls. Next go at it again using the Meguiars M80 Speed Glaze. Speed Glaze has the cutting power of a polish but it also enhance the surface finish with a coating of glaze. For interior carbon fiber parts you may want to use a polish such as Meguiars M205 Ultra Finishing Polish or P21S Multisurface Polish. Both can be used with Rotary Buffer, DA Polisher, Orbital Buffer and by Hand.
5) – Finally protect your carbon fiber love using NXT Tech Wax (again from Meguires) with a finishing pads (or you might consider your favorite sealant also). Remove all of the dried wax with a microfiber towel and presto, you are ready to go.
I don't use meguires products for anything but the speed glaze (which I don't do that often) but it does wonders on the car hood I imagine it would work great for the nose and front fender fairings (high impact areas for small debris).
