Im sitting here seaching the forum (like im suppose to) looking for info on exhaust. All the stuff i have reah on D&D yall have posted has been nothin but bad, now i personally have never had a D&D pipe but to be honost i was thinking about getting one for the R1, i have heard them and the reason i like em is cause there are DEEP! That is what i want a deep as hell tone, dont want to be confused as a Civic or somthin. And i really like the look of the D&D pipes on the bike, same spot as the stock one, nice chrome finish and who wouldnt want a TEXAS flag on their pipe?

Help me out here guys, any one who has one let me see some pics please, and also if yall have any suggestions on another pipe with a deep as hell tone, and the look im going for fill me in. Thanks

You want a deep tone? Get a Sato or Graves. The D&D are just loud and obnoxious. I would suggest the Sato pipe....almost sounds like a twin crossed with a four. My $0.02. :beer

I don't know what D&D you heard, but they are not DEEP at all.. They are loud and obnoxious, and DO sound like civics with coffee cans.. If you want a DEEP exhaust, check out Arata.. That's probably one of the deepest if not the deepest exhausts out there.. I get complements ALL the time on the way it sounds, and I'm sure other people who own this exhaust will say the same...

I had a D&D on my R6 and all the guy i rode with made me ride in the back cuz it was so loud.....lucky me it came with the bike and didnt make me feel bad to get a new one. I have a Jardine on my 03 R1 and that has a nice sound too it and is pretty cheap. didnt help the performance but if you are looking for performance then you shouldnt be looking at D&D's anyways. :fork

It's true though...everytime I go to the mountain and someone has a D&D it is soooo loud...everyone kinda looks at each other like "what is this guy coming with?" Here's a Sato on an 05...not sure if they make the full exhaust for an '01 but I know they have slip-ons for an '01. If you're looking for a full system I would suggest the Arata, Akropovic, or Graves.

+1, I agree, if you want the sweetest sounding pipe with deep rumble Arata is the way to go.

:iamwithst I am a fan of graves.... but Arata's were my second choice.

The only thing a D&D will do is let everyone know that your coming.

I'm in the minority here. I had a D&D on my FZ1 and actually liked the way it sounded. I thought it sounded a hell of a lot better than the GYT-R it replaced. I have an FMF on my R1 now, and while it is a quality pipe, I find myself wishing it was a bit louder. To each his own.

i had a d&d slip on my other 04 r1. actualy they were much quieter than other D&D's. they made the power feel nice and i liked the look alot when they were cut down a bit and didn't hang out the back of the bike so much. easy to cut. i was a big fan and would still have them if i didn't find the temignoni pipes. now those are sweet.
