Other then your bike, what do you have as a bad weather/broken bike/daily driver? Im trying to decide right now what to save up for. Im looking at '97-ish Silverado Z71s, but the options are endless. Newer Blazer, newer S10, Durango, Dakota, Tahoe, Ranger, Explorer, etc. Im probably looking to spend around 7000, so what do you guys drive and what do you recomend for around $7k? Id like something I can either tow a trailer with or put my bike in the back of.

My truck 03 F250 crew cab shortbed, 6.0 PSD w/ torqshift, FX4, lariat w/ the centennial package, heated leather, heated mirrors, all black etc.. I love this truck, with being a contractor i couldnt do without it. The edge/attitude makes it a beast too :yesnod
My perfect weather driver is the stang, i've got alot of work into this car. Its just my lil bottle baby.

I think you should spend what you need to get a confortable truck that'lll be reliable and do anything you'd need it to. I'll never own anything less than a 3/4ton diesel but most people can get away w/ a nice 1/2 ton gasser.

My wife and I have the best kinda of daily drivers,Company Cars. Mine 03 Grand Prix GT, I was not given an option but its free. Wife has a 03 Grand Cherokee Limited.

The only car we own is a supercharged Z06. Pic may look like $h!t I had to resize it about a dozen times to get it to post.

Everything people say about company cars is true. They can actually go much further than the recomded oil change intervals, they rarely need to be washed. On cold morning they love running at redline to warm up. You can park them anywhere and squeeze into the smallest spots. Door dings are not a factor. I could go on.

My daily driver for the whole winter was my ....2002 R1! Yep guys, don't have the chance to have both a car and a bike. And of course the winter has been awful here in NM, very cold and rainy. It was a bit of a pain when I had to go grocerie, I would take a big sport bag and put everything in it, and would usually go twice, once for the food, once for the liquids...
Anyway, I gave up on the R1 unfortunatelly, it was too much of an hassle to have only the bike to go around, especially during the rainy days. So Im no more part of the 2 wheels community...
By the way, don't get a Chevy Z71, they are real POS, I got one here when I first arrived in Albuquerque, and I just went from trouble to trouble...And I have a friend who has one too, and it is the same. Not to mention the bad quality. Stay away from american cars...

Its what I use every day. Living in the UK, if you only used your bike when its sunny, it would get used about 4 times a year:rant
Its also all I can afford what with having to pay over $9 a gallon for petrol and new r1's costing over $17,000.

****, I hate my country sometimes:bash

I had one of those - 5-speed of course. Great fun, even in Canadian winters (Poo! to anyone who says rear-drive, torquey cars can't handle snow).

Not the most reliable thing though, that's why I had to sell it for a '91 Talon TSi AWD that I'm getting pretty sick of right now. Almost time for an upgrade.
