If you are going to do the rim tape, get the pre-curved ones from Ebay. I first did mine from a normal roll of rim tape and took my sweet time and it still came out so-so. Since I'm all OCD with my bike, I bought some Ebay pre-curved rim tape and redid them. It came out perfect! The only strike about the pre-curved tape is that they come in sections and you have to cut the last piece to length.

The wheel tape i got came in 4 rolls, one piece for each wheel, great quality, cheap, and isn't precurved.

I did it on my bike stands so i can spin the wheel as i go

i never did pinstriping in my life and i was able to do it, they give you extra in case you mess up...so you can add another piece if necessary

When i did the wheel stripes on my gixxer i just went to pepboys and bought the automotive pinstripe.... Super easy to use.... It's obviously not precurved either... mine turned out alright... For a gixxer :crash

So does yours, I honestly think the precurved is a gimmick i didn't have a hard time with mine at all...

:lol I didn't even have a stand at that point... I would do about 1/4 of the rim roll the bike back do the next 1/4 roll it back, etc, etc, for the front 2 times and the back 2 times :lol:lol

I was having soo much fun with mine on the stands....


and the pre curved stuff i did on my friend's CBR, I honestly thought the regular roll was easier, its so hard to connect the four different pieces without flatspots

 

Here is what i did with a 1/4" set of blue pinstripe for cars...i don't think it looks half bad and for the cost of about $4.50 and about 30 mins its fairly cheap...you just need a steady hand

 

oh...and they have it in gold stripe too
