Should be the one on the left, but I'm not 100%.

I have never looked to see where no. 1 is on my bike!!!! The clutch is on the right, which would denote rear of engine, so no. 1 should be on the left.

 

as you're sitting on the bike, it is the one on the left.

if you are on the bike it is left to right, the same way you read

it goes 1-2-3-4 from left to right , when sitting on the bike.
