Hello to all,

I am new to this bike thing and I have done some research on this website in regards to frame sliders, but I am still at a loss in regards to which ones to get.

Is there anyone out there that can recommend some excellent frame sliders and any other sliders needed for a 2005 R1 Raven Edition? Also, how many sliders can I add to my bike (i.e. frame, clutch, etc...)

I have heard of Graves, Lighting, Vortex, etc...frame sliders, but the suggestions in across the broad. Not one stands out from the rest. I am looking for something that will protect the plastics really well. I have noticed that some are shorter than others, so which one is the best in regards to protecting the plastics and any other part of the bike that requires a slider.

What BRAND is known for their quality and craftmanship? I want something that will look good and at the same time protect the bike.

ive had good luck w/ carbon fiber lockhart and philips...
your probably going to want barends from earache($50) and a clutch slider($70) and swing arm sliders too($20)..but thats just me..

ive seen negative graves posts on here...post crash.
I have my vortex for sale in the forum here. Im getting longer ones for track (they are ugly though!)

below are the Harris frame & clutch sliders on my 02, along with Creation engine armour on the clutch casing :yesnod

I also have Harris rearsets with race pegs, they have delrin end caps on them too, and folding toe spigots :yesnod

check out intuitive too. i have yet to test them (knock on wood), but have gott some good reviews, do a search on them.

lsl one of the best but its a bit expensive but who cares if it will save your bike it cost me about 180 $ cz it come with extention not directly mounted to the frame thats why its better then other brend veyr happy with it and for look its the best looking one i have the blue if u want i can send u pict pm me :thumbup

At first I couldn't remember who it was that had such bad luck with those things (you among many). Sorry about that, man. I have to say, for a 45 mph crash, my sliders really did the trick - NO frame damage at all....though pretty much everything else had to be replaced.

I assume by now you've gotten your girl all put back together and shiny as new?
