i seen costco has a limited time offer on the upgraded version...

that 19in. display look's tight and it comes w/ many upgrades (surround sound, etc.) is this a better deal? or would a sony viao be better?
the costco deal is lookin better than the viao right now...:dunno

What are you going to use it for. Video cards are a big chunk of change so you can save :dollar if you aren't going to game with it.

Also, check out Alienware . They have been pretty cost competitive with Dell lately. They don't offer free monitors though.

COSTCO has the best return policy. and if you are an executive member you also get 2% cash back.

alienware are badass and solid for gaming, but a bargan at costco i would not pass up

OK, if you configure the Dell link for a 19" LCD, you get a price of $1341. That is still the better deal. The difference is the software bundle, a hard drive that is 3 times the size (on the costco) and a DVD writer.

If you are surfing the net and playing cards, do you need the massive hard drive? Try configuring the straight Dell link to your personal wants. Add the DVD wrighter. Don't pay for a bunch of stuff you wont use....

Nice systems, but they cost a buttload .. as for the walmart comps there a piece of crap.. just my two cents.. id suggest you get somebody you know that is knowledgeable to build you one.. or even put together a decent computer for a bit lesser.. and easier upgrade if you have plans for it..
