If my cat was that ugly I would shave it's ass and make it walk backwards :rant. I used to always like Suzuki's till I saw that hunk of crap. I now came over to the dark side and will soon start riding my R1. I get the first one at my dealership :rock. By the way Blue is faster. When Mat Mladin get a look at that bike he will be coming to Yamaha. Could you imagine Rossi and Mladin Yamaha would be unstoppable.:thumbup

I think its a very good bike, not that pretty though. performs well though.

I am a Yamaha Fan boy though.

 

That bike is nowhere near as good looking as the R1 to my eye, anyway. But I'll bet it's going to be an animal, so I'd love to see what the aftermarket will come up with, and I'll wait to say love/hate until I see it in the flesh at the Javits center this January.

i concur! as the time flys the hatred will soon go away. just give it more time, see them personally in action, and performance wise some here will change their mind over it. like a buddy of mine who absolutely hate my 04 R1 when i bought it. totally negative about the whole thing. 4 months after owning her, he bought 1 himself ..go figure! thats his love and baby nowlol

 

its not just the exhaust, its the front, the antler ears with cheap MV knockoff signals, ugly tail, typical boy racer graphics (although toned down finally), oh and that monstrous nasty pipe. If the factory offers a nice stock exhaust, people dont have to shell out $$ to get an aftermarket one..

Mladin and Yates both tested it in Superbike and Superstock form and loved it! It's going to be very formidable, if not King again! Just ugly from the pics. Have to see one in person first before making judgment though! I still prefer my R1 though! Just a Yamaha fan at heart I guess!

I agree with you on the mirrors.......they would have done better by putting on some flushmounts or something.

The gix is pretty ugly, but price you have to pay for function.

I am not trolling. I am making a simple observation. Ive been here for what a while. Every year new bike comes out and flaming begins. When the R1 came out you guys got your glory and nobody disputed it. Every year the gix comes out and stomps everyone, the same old tierd argument comes out. Looks.

 

dont you think that means somethign though? If people are critical year after year of the gixxers looks, something is wrong and suzookie cant.hasnt done anything about it. My frist bikes were gixxers, and I loved them, never had a single problem, but man, I couldnt even convince myself they were well styled bikes.

If Suzuki can get over the styling hump, they would destroy all the others in sales.
