should have no problem i ran a 190/55 on my 636 track bike which also has a 5.5in rear wheel and there was plenty of clearance

advantages an even taller tire especially when squished on a smaller rim
incredibly fast turn in ( not joking) and more contact patch

i wouldnt even consider it unless its spending the majority of its time on the track or in the canyons
