if you LITERALLY just swap the motor, your fine. It works.

 

What about all the sensors and loom attached to the motor? All the same as the 09’?

Mine has just done a conrod. So motor is dead. There is alot more 12-14 motors for sale than 09-11 ones

I was trying not to get detailed, just swap the motor man lol

Left fork
front wheel
Headlight setup
left handle bar TC harness
Dash
ECU
rear shock spring

For all intensive purposes these are the only things different on the 09-11 vs 12-14 R1 bikes.



Unbolt and and uplug your motor..... bolt up and plug in a different motor..... Start the bike. Enjoy
