we all know how hot the R1 gets. if i get a titanium y-pipe and titanium slip-ons will i notice a differance in the heat. my freind has a 1000rr with a titanium slip-on and we can ride all day and its cool to the touch. thanks for any help.

probably depends on the bike and exhaust manufacturer a bit, but it can happen. my old roomate's 636 had a titanium can, and it was true: even after riding in Miami heat, you could touch it with a bare hand immediately after stopping.
as for the underseat exhaust, wrapping the pipes will probably help with the heat around the legs and butt.
really. I had a Ti slip-on on my old R6 and after a full day of riding, with the bike still on I was able to touch the can with my hand. It was warm, but not hot.
I've got the Ti-Force full system on mine & I do notice that the pipes cool off pretty quick after shutting her down. As far as while riding, I don't notice too much of a difference over the stock system..but it seems better. The sometimes bothersome heat isn't from the system though...it's the frame/engine on the right side.
