I have a friend that is removing his PCIII USB from his 03' R6... Will it work in my 06' R1 as long as I change the maps? Just wanted to see if anybody knew before I started the uninstall/reinstall process. Thanks for the input, and if there is already a thread about this, I apologize, I didn't see it please direct me to it.

I don't think they are compatable as the two bikes use different model numbers.

Can you just get a wiring harness for your R1? Then you could just plug the PCIII box in. I haven't looked at one in like two years so I can't remember if the wiring harness is hardwired in the box or not.
Thanks guys... The harness on the PC is hard-wired in although there is another wiring connection on the side of it. (other that the mini-usb) Maybe if I had a wiring diagram and knew which wire from the PC goes to whatever wire in the Bike harness, I would do it that way. I'm not very literate when it comes to anything having to do with power commanders. And I did notice the one out of the '03 R6 has 2 sets of connectors whereas the R1 only has 1 big connector. Maybe it won't work, but thank you very much for the input guys!
