First of all I am not writting this to upset anyone I just need to vent and I would like to inform other forum members of the problems I had.

I called Slava at Flatout performance on Febuary 19 and ordered 3 things(Rear Galfer brake line, speedohealer, and acumen digital gear indicator), after checking on the prices with him I decided to order them because the prices were very good. I told him right away that I needed the brake line in 3 days because my bike was going in the shop and I wanted to have it installed. So he said it would go out the same day as my order. 3 days passed and I never recieved it. So, I call him back and he says it didnt even ship yet. This I didnt understand but kept my mouth shut. A few days later I recieved it.

I called him every 2 weeks about my other parts and every week I got the same answer, "they should be arriving thursday". Finally after hearing this for almost 4 months I called and cancelled my order last wensday. I was suppost to have my payment put back in my checking account and here it is 9 days later and my account still has not been credited.

I dont know about everyone elses dealings with Flatout but to me their service is terrible and my buisness will be going somewhere else.

Like I said at the top this was not meant to piss anyone off I just needed to and make sure the other forum members know what happened to me so it doesnt happen to them.

I'll tell you what, hate to bash you Slava but you know you dicked me too. I placed an order Feb 11 for over $3500 and never even received some simple items like sliders and a DID chain. I called at least once a week since February asking about my order and he always blatantly LIED about when I would get my items. He told me things had already shipped and when I called a week later he said they would drop ship from the warehouse, and then another week later he would say they might be backordered.

I finally called him like twice a day for a whole week and it got to the point where I would call and be transferred over to him and nobody would pick up. I did this one day about 30 min before they closed, and I was old hold for 10 min, would hang up and call back. Finally, when I called back for the third time they were closed and I got their recording. I just kept calling back over and over until somebody finally picked up. Turned out to be a manager (Amy?) and told her I was fed up with Slava's bullcrap. She talked to him and I'm sure he LIED to her about my problem , because instead of giving me the tracking number for the items in question he gave me the tracking number for something I knew he shipped.

Everytime I wanted a refund it took forever. The first time after 14 days I sent an e-mail to Bill Starkey and then my money was refunded. The second time the same thing happened and after like 7 days I sent an e-mail and the money was refunded in like 1/2 an hour. This was after I already had called my credit card company and filed a complaint and wanted my fraud protection activated. I had given Slava a date to refund my money by or I would call my cc company, but the money never showed so I had to call. It was more of a headache than it was worth saving a couple hundred bucks.

If you want your money back just call and speak with Bill Starkey and tell him exactly when you requested a refund and that you wanted your money back NOW. I'm pretty sure you'll get the money back in like 10 minutes...better yet, stay on the phone until you get the refund. The managers there have no idea the kind of mickey mouse operation slava is running with his phone/internet sales.

I have been buying my stuff from other places ever since...I was extremely disappointed with the service and the way I was treated. Getting the truth out of Slava is like pulling teeth.

I don't even know if flat-out motorcycles is a site sponsor. If not, Flatoutmc should be banned!

I like to think of myself as a patient person, but when people lie to me and intentionally mislead me, I lose all patience and respect.

Be real with us

Same shit here. Still waiting on a dark smoke puig DB ordered about a month and a half ago. Called today and was told it shipped from the Cali warehouse Wed, and I should have it by next Wed. (Told that 2 weeks ago also). Well long story short, when I ordered it along with 2 sets of Pilot Powers and Stomp grip I was told all the stuff was in stock and I'd have it in about 4 business days. Again it's approx 1 1/2 months later. Once I get the DB that will complete my order. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY SHIT FROM HIM. He doesn't seem to be straight up about the status of your items. Backordered or not just be honest with your customers right from the start. On a side note I ordered from him before and everything went smooth, not sure WTF happened this time as it wasn't a minor hiccup with my order it's turning into a total nightmare. There are many more details like unanswered pm's, not returning phone calls and lies/incorrect info about the shipping status of items. Hell, in fact I didn't even get my tires and stomp grip till 3 weeks later when told approx 4 bus days. Oh well that's pretty bad considering I'm still in the market to immediately purchase at least some if not all of the items listed: front and rear stands, flush mount blinkers, brake lines, fender eliminator, wheels (marchesini's or similar). I also have a buddy in the market for a few things and was gonna get them from him because of the forum discounts. Oh well, on to plan B. If my puig isn't here by Wed as promised I'm getting a refund. If my refund isn't taken care of the instant I ask for it i'm contacting the BBB and filing a complaint as well. I was trying to be nice and not be vocal but this guy isn't doing me any favors. There are other forum vendors who'll be glad to sell me shit or I can take my ass down to the local stores and pay a few extra dollars and not have to deal with this headache. ok rant off going to install some goodies on my bike and drink some beer

You guys need to settle down a bit. You have to remember some of our items are drop shipped from distributors and getting info from them is like pulling teeth too. If its in stock here at our store then it ships from here. If its in stock at the distributors then it ships from there. Sometimes though numbers are off usually not. But either way getting refunds isn't difficult either its just a matter of putting your info back into the computer. If you stay with me on the phone I can do it right then. Otherwise I hand the info off to accounting.

Tony, we can't control the fact that your termi was on backorder i appologize for that. We did get you another pipe at near cost and had it too you in less than 3 days. Same with your galfer rotors. we got them from galfer and then shipped directly to you.

I hate to say you guys aren't wrong because your not. All I can say is things get fubared once in awhile with over 100+ orders a day. Every company has it maybe the fact that were popular on the boards here and else where that were out in the open like that. we do try and take care of our customers both with service and price. We've picked up the tab may a time to get stuff to customers overnight when it was taking too long from the dist if we didn't have it in stock.

As for not getting to pm's its hard with only so many hrs in the day. Easy to just grab me on the phone or one of our other co-workers.

again sorry for the problems guys were more then happy if you'd like to give us a 2nd chance to give you 10% over dealer on your item and free 3day air shipping on your next purchase.

This thread should not exist

Slava, is the man. He has hooked me up several times with UNTOUCHABLE prices. Some items did take longer then others..but the price was worth it. Slava took my calls several times and worked with me patiently. I will do business with him again.

Thanks for the Akros Slava

Take a look at the tire thread and you'll notice more than 300 sets have gone out and most have gotten to their customers within 3days i'd say thats pretty damn good service. Not just on tires but on pipes, sato rearsets gillies. Like I said I can't deny that we haven't had issues either with us or our distributors. This time of the year lots of distributors don't forcast correctly. Try getting over 50 power commanders at one time and see what dyno jet says.

Either way like I said we always try and do right by our customers if that means overnighting something or giving them an even deeper discount then we do it.

I have no opinion on Slava, because I haven't dealt with him. I am also not accusing slava of anything with my following question...

Isn't it against the law to charge someone's credit card before shipment has been made.

For instance, if I buy a couch... my experience has been that until shipment has been made, no charge will be made.

It only makes sense to me, but I'm a dummy.

Maybe it's just me but your coworkers seem to "NEVER have a clue on what's going on OR they don't want to deal with your orders". Now when I call asking about an order status the first thing they say is did you order through Slava? Oh then let me transfer you. As far as calling you on the phone, when I called you said "let me look it up and i'll call you back". I'd probably be still waiting for those calls if I hadn't called you back. Oh, and people will start to "settle down" when they get the stuff they paid for! Bottom line if you "know or predict" a longer wait for items just let people know at the time of order or when you find out. It's a pain in the ass to "chase" people for info on stuff you have already paid for and expected weeks prior based on info YOU gave them. Ok rant off/last reply. Just gonna wait (patiently) for my stuff

If a customer of mine bought 3k in exhausts that I normally don't carry i'm going to charge them for them upfront and then have them either ordered or drop shipped from the dist. We can't always carry every item.

So you want me to take delivery of say an example brembo mono block calipers for 2k and then the narrow band rotors and pads for another oh 1k.

You want me to order the stuff on good faith that when it comes in i'll be able to charge your card and have it go thru.

Nope not gonna happen. Another example you want me to order 2.5k in oem parts for say an 02 r1. You say your insurance company already gave you the money. Sure slava go ahead and order all my replacement parts when they come in give me a ring and i'll pay for them. So i order them have 2.5k of my money tied up in your parts and give you a ring you say oh i'm sorry i just sold the bike or never return our call.

We have over 300k of inventory we can't stock everything but we stock alot of the fast moving parts. Most get shipped that day either from us in Indiana or our distributors warehouses through-out the country.

I'm sure this the same for many other stores.

We have a couple deptments in the store. Internet sales is handle by only a couple people so they don't want to give out the wrong info. Thats why they transfer the calls to me. I'll have to appologize that I didn't get to return your call. Its hectic at times with over 4 lines going at once and only 3-4 people to help out. We've hired more help but as some know in the buisness world its not a problem getting help its a problem getting good help.

Sometimes like I say our distributors don't always give us the correct info. They tell us one date and we tell that to the customer and then they change that date and don't update their customer us so then in turn we can update you.
I've had customers wait 2-3 months for brembo masters, pvm rims, bst carbon rims. But I understand peoples fustrations they paid for something they want it that min or atleast within a week. Sometimes I can't control backorders but were trying to make sure everyone is informed as best as we can with each and every customer.

BTW your puig is shipping via 2nd day air and as i told you today on the phone will be there wensday.

when I get the tracking monday i'll pm you.

I haven't dealt with Slava, but I have to give him credit for coming on here and taking the heat.

The worst company I have dealt with was Sprint. They d1cked me and just don't care. I never got any resolution from them.
If I didn't care about the customers I wouldn't be on this thread. Sometimes it takes a few bad issues to make a GREAT machine if you will. Learn from the mistakes and make sure they don't happen again if possible.

BTW - worst company i've ever delt with and still have to deal with every year is the GOV ;) I hate march / april time.

I have nothing mean to say about Slava, I did send him a PM about 2weeks ago for pricing on glove's, but it still hasnt been checked yet, I'm sure he receives alot of PM's a day and it takes a while to get to them all. But if you have a potential customer I would try and get them pricing relatively fast, I needed gloves soon after I sent the PM, so I had to find another distributor.

If anyone's interested I did find good deals on AP* GP Tech gloves PM me for info.

I just had an experience that kinda turned me off.

I wrote them to ask what the color codes meant (which code was blue, red, etc...) and was emailed back the part code for the part in question. Not only didn't that help with that part, since you don't select parts on the microfiche by part code, but it also won't help in the future if I need a different color-specific part.

What I mean is that when you look through the fiche you see the name of each part, and you select it right there. The only "codes" are when there are different colors for the same part. I asked, "what is DPBMC/BWC1, or VRC1, etc." I know now they're "Deep Purplish Blue Metallic Cocktail/Bluish White Cocktail" and so on.

The email I got said "the fairing you want is 1234WXYZ" or whatever. No color explaination. Maybe I can type that code in somewhere and order that part, but that's not what I asked.

I just found the color codes on another site, so I have my answer anyway, but whoever responded wasn't helpful at all.

On the other hand, they DID at least write back, though, so although they might rate a stubbed toe, maybe they don't deserve a whole kick to the shin yet.

Slava is a good guy and wouldn't intentionally ignore you guys. And Flatout has a really good reputation as being a fair and honest dealer here in Indy.

But the sheer volume of stuff he does has to be taken into consideration. Sure, he's gonna screw some up once in a while...just like we all would. But give him the opportunity to make it right and he'll go to the wall for you.

Out of stock items always generate frustration and anxiety for us. We all want it now! I'm more guilty of that than anybody else. He can only tell you what his suppliers tell him - and if they miss the boat by a bit, he's the one that catches all of the $hit.

a search here shoul have yielded results for those color codes......

Slava, I just think you bite off more than you can chew. The exhaust was one thing and I completely understood and we settled that (I still don't know why it took 2 weeks for a refund). It's the other items that you know you lied to me about. C'mon, the DID chain? Was it backordered? NO. The Intuitive sliders? Were they backordered? NO. The Suomy faceshield? Was that backordered? NO. Then why did you tell me that they already shipped yet never could "find" the tracking number, then a week later you tell me it was drop shipped, then another week later I cancel the order and the items still weren't shipped.

Whenever I buy things from kneedraggers.com they always call me the same day I place the order online and let me know exactly what is backordered.

I'll call you straight out Slava because I know you lied to me over the phone. All you do is tell me what you think I want to hear to get me off the phone.

Other people need to know that your customer service is sub-par. As a customer, it's not my problem when I pay you thousands of dollars for goods and don't receive them because you had a problem drop-shipping the items. You want ME to feel sorry for YOU because you have a lot of orders???? HA!!! I gave my credit card numbers to you and I expect you to treat me like a customer. You might say that you overnight Saturday delivered a power commander to me that Dan Kyle Racing f***ed up on and that's great customer service...well it's not when I placed the order for the power commander 60 days earlier and you wait until the absolute last minute to order it.

And yet still, nobody seems to know whether you're a paying sponsor or not.

Eric, that's not really the problem though. It's when Slava tells you that the items are IN STOCK at the distributor and then a month later you still don't have the items, and then he tells you that they already SHIPPED, and then you still don't have the items 2 weeks later!!! I honestly think I am patient, but Slava thinks that if he tells you something is backordered that you will take your business elsewhere, so he finds it necessary to mislead you about the status of your items. If something is backordered I don't care, I can wait...but when he tells you you'll have it in a week and then 80 days later you still don't have it, well....I just don't buy that.
