Most weekends you will see dozens of sportbikes riding up and down the tight side. All skill levels from newbe's to experinced riders. Now mix that up with cars heading up for a day on the mountain. Combine all the above with the Palomar Mafai riding racetrack speeds. the odd crash, head ons are not uncommon. Riding weekends makes no sence to me.:dunnoR1 858 said:i been there, didnt like it at all. People are riding like crap. Almost flying into your lane, while going up the tightside. Its rediculous.
Back when I started out riding sportbikes I would hit Palomar every weekend. First on a 98 YZF 750 than on my old 99 R1. I've seen a lot of wrecks up there, to many. Also seen more then my share of idiots that go way over there head. The Palomar Mafia riders are not the problum, yes they ride fast but in control. In fact the Ductai rider Is PM and stated he glanced down at his speedo just before impact, it read 85mph. Both of these guys are lucky to be alive and to think they walked away unhurt is amazing.Mark618 said:Galdiator,
It may just be me, but I don't think you're supposed to ride them Suzukis like that.
All kidding aside, how's Palomar on weekdays?
