I have a few scratches on my lower fairings that I am not happy with. I thougt about buying new fairings but can't seem to have any luck getting a good set at a good price.
I have bought a set a chrome R1/Yamaha decals. Was thinking about using either the R1 or tuning fork to cover them up. Same spot on both sides.
Would you do this or shell out the $ for a better set?

P.S. I have touched it up with some paint but it still is noticable. Though mostly be me I think.

I've done that before on other bikes I have owned. If you don't mind a few stickers on your bike I say go for it!

Also, If you scratch it up again you won't be pissed off at yourself for fixing the cowlings ans then scratching them again!

I noticed a bug on my fairing one day. picked up a rag to wipe it off but didn't notice the small piece of steel wool inside the cloth. End result was some minor scratching where the bug had been. Looked through some old stickers I had lying around and found one that said 'screamin semen'. Fitted perfectly, looks like it was factory fitted, even the wife didn't object.
