Ok, this may be a very noob question, but I found this pic in the picture section and love it. It says it is a WSB (1. wtf is that?), and 2. what all mods can you see? are there any other pictures of this bike floating around? whats with the blue brake fluid in the lines up by the clipon, is that a different brake line, or different fluid? ok, enough questions. oh one more, what type of rear stand is that? thanks guys! -jammer

Ok, here we go, now STFU everyone there's no stupid questions!! Unless your name is corey.....:vanish

WSB : World Superbike, name of the series.

This bike is Noriuki Haga bike, one the most popular rider in the world.

The rear brake fluid is probaly clear on a blue tinted plastic line. :dunno

Rear stand i have no idea....

the blue lines are just what people have been telling you, blue tinted brake tubes.... simple as that.... even has one that runs off the tank to a catch can....

yes it is a one piece tank... with no divider over the air box... it's acutally probably carbon fiber ass well.... OPP racing has one....

the body is appearntly from a custom company over seas.... very very very hard to find.... trust me i've tried.... Tyga-performance makes a look a like body... i have that....

the air ducts are custom made and resized... all carbon fiber....
closest thing i have found are from OPP racing....
the seat is padded carbon fiber...

it has alot of Yamaha parts on it that you can buy as well... like the Throttle.. is the quick throttle kit... cost around $500

it has a full ohlins suspension set up... not sure on the price of the shock.... but the front forks will run you $9000-$10000

the rotors come from a company called breaking..... i'm looking into prices for those....

yes those are Rain tires....

it's also equpied with data logging for everything... from the suspension to the engine...

i do not have engine specs on it for what upgrades are made... i've tired looking.... it's hard to find

i have a bunch of High res pics if you wish to abtain more..... or you can go to Yamaha's racing webset and there are 100's on there....

the exhaust is basically a Termi system... but custom made for the race bikes....

the stand is probably something custom made as i have never seen one like it, and it's designed for the lifting sytem on the bike....

it aslo has a quick change rear kit.... possible front as well

SS brake likes of course... with a full Bremo brake system.... which if you bought the Ohlins SBK forks... you would have to buy as well

the windscreen is custom made as well for that body kit.... but you can buy a windscreen for your R1 from the same company....

wish i could tell you more... but finding any real tech specs on the bike is hard.... trust me i've searched and searched and searched for days..... i think i spent almost a month looking for that body kit and just ended up buying the Tyga one cause it was close....

but anyways... i hope this answers your questions and if you have more feel free to ask.... most of us will do our best to help you out

all the tubes on the bike are blue... it has nothing to do with the fluid color.... it could be blue though..... but that's not what makes them blue....

This weeks cycle news has a full ride and report on Haga's R1, They found it less friendly than the Alstare suzuki and the the PSG-1 zx10r. HP is 201+ at the crank but with little power at lower revs unlike the othetrs they rode. Confirms that haga was the reason for most of the bikes success this year.

The blue line that is attached to the clip on is actually a clutch adjustment that has a nob on the left clip on.
I would have guessed it was for adjustment of the front brake, so as the race goes on and the brakes start to fade, haga can adjust the lever out so it does not "bottom out" on the clip on.

you would be correct the brake lever has a romote adjuster cable for on the fly adjustments to take care of brake fade...

CRG sells a kit like this.....

but that cable is black on the WSBK bike... not blue...

What about the pins holding the fairings on? Are they "quick release" or something? Can we get something like this to replace the bolts on our bikes? thanks again in advance guys! -jammer

their actually found on e-bay and all over the web

they are called Dzus fasteners

here's a link for some...

the exhaust is a Termi Comp system, but later in the season it was modified into a 4-2-1 instead of 4-2-1-2

you can get a Strada system for your R1 which has a much smaller diameter plumbing then the SUPERBIKE free flow

they also changed to TI cans instead of CF ones

The blue/green reservoir tubing is from a european company, distributed by Ten Kate Racing. BluR1 has some on his bike, several of us (BlueR1, Donniedark & myself for sure) have tried numerous brands of the clear & blue reservoir tubing, but to date the only ones we've had success with is the clear from Yoyodyne.

Most of these types of tubing are notorious for sweating, and require frequent changes due to product life (tubing-every 3 months), another issue more prevalent with the clear, is it requires more frequent fluid changes because of the lack of UV resistance (fluid turns amber over time in direct sunlight).

Yoshimura also distributes a pink reservoir tubing used on alot of endurance & WSBK Suzuki's :thumbup

below is a pic of my clear reservoir tubing with fresh fluid :yesnod

and here's what the fluid looks like after a couple months into the riding season, noticably more amber in color

the fluid is Motorex DOT 4.0, not exactly bargain brand, started out perfectly clear but changes to this in less than a season of use & exposure. Trackdays will accelerate this due to increased fluid heat cycles as well :yesnod

my understanding is that the above listed blue/green reservoir tubing and the pink below provide a higher level of UV resistance, but suffer from shorter life span than the clear.

The clear has been on my bike for 2 seasons now, without sweating issues, other than ones I created (used screw type clamps initially & they caused minute tears/cracks). I have since switched to only using zip-ties with no further issues, safety wire may also be used with the same success :thumbup
