Saw one in Hamburg, Germany today......what a badass bike!!! I didn't relaize this thing had a monster 1700 engine in it!! This one had Rizoma grips and mirrors on it, and carbon fiber air scoops mounted on the sides of the tank. I gotta figure out how to get pics off my phone to post them when i get back this weekend.

I also saw a cool Suzuki GSX 1400. The owner put a sticker on the tach, covering the red-line area, that says: "BANG-BANG". :lol

Hey, sounds similar to my MT.:)

I have the Akrapovic cans on now as they do a kit that enables you to keep the outer sleaves so you can keep the pillion footrests in place.

Sounds awesome! Pops and bangs on the overrun! Sounds like hells own bike coming down the road!:thumbup

nice MT.....
is it easy to wheelie??? in what gear??
it look like have a lot torque....??

Does wheelie but it takes a bit of getting up as it's a long and heavy bike! Loads and loads of torque! Put it in top gear and leave it there!

Handles very well.

Taillight is ok!:lol , but everything shakes a lot on tickover! Yamahs bolted the engine in without an anti-vibration stuff as they wanted the "raw" feel of the bike to remain. They wanted it to feel like you were riding some sort of angry beast! They succeeded there!:sneaky

is the engine character same with Vmax (there a sudden boost at certain rpm...) or just flat from down low to high ???

im very interested at this bike as it look like a "different " if we ride at the road.....make a lot people have to stare at it....:thumbup

The engine just pulls from nothing! It does pull a little quicker over 2,500 rpm but it redlines at 5,500!! Because of the torque and high gearing, every rpm makes a big difference on speed!

Not as qulck as my old 2001 R1 by any means, although 0-60 times are almost the same, but a lot meaner!

Just seen this website. MT-01 Turbo!! Now that looks cool!:fact :yesnod
