Just last week a guy was saying that his buddy had the first year R6 with alot of motor work done to it. Put out more power than any of the newer bikes. I said Hmmm? I used to have a '00 R6, is your buddy running Noooooos? He said "No, theres not enough room under there after all the motor work. I'm thinking ok,. So, how much power is your buddy putting out? I've got 138 on my R1. He said Oh no, it's got more power than an R1. Luckily I had to leave at that point so he didn't see me laughing.

 

Maybe the guy works for Yamaha... and maybe the R3 is the 2998cc superbike from Yamaha in year 2014... :crash

 

I had a guy ask to race me in his F and F eclipse. He said he could do the quarter in low 13's....i sorta laughed..he wants to race me title for title his car for my bike. People that don't ride don't realize. And yes I have had my bike called,"One of them ninja's" i mean i understand why they would say that..you know with Yamaha big as hell on the lower fairing and Robotic R1 decals all over the bike. Let alone my yamaha jacket. It is an easy mistake

I had someone tell me they were getting an R2....It was the in -between of an R1 and the M1. I couldn't resist and told him he was full of sh** and laughed in his face.
Why do people act like idiots when there is a bike around, I can understand when there is a girl because we have all been there, but a just a bike?

I encounter people like that all the time, guy at work was asking how much hp my R1 put out and I told him it was rated at 150hp. He says oh.. I'm going to be getting a RC50 they put out 217hp, then he proceeds to tell me it does the 1/4 mile in 7 seconds bone stock. This other guy was telling me how he almost bought a 250 for $1500, then while looking at my bike he says "thats a 350 right." Some people just have no clue. lol.
