Actually MRA supplies many GP, Moto2, WSBK, WEC, and BSB bikes. To say it's not designed for competition use is uneducated.

Naturally, vendors are going to push what they sell, but there are other options that are just as good if not better.

Side by side, I can't physically see an optical difference in clarity between the zg and mra.

Thickness wise, they are both extremely close (as you can see in the pictures).

Finish wise, the mra gets the nod hands down to the factory tinting that covers the wires and gauges.

Weight I can't confirm as I don't have a digital scale, but one doesn't feel significantly heavier than the other.

I'm not quite sure how there can be "vast" differences from the materials used in the shields on factory bikes as opposed to what the customer can buy. I'd guess the thickness is just drastically reduced to save weight. But I doubt they are using super top secret materials.

I was interested in your screen Clark. It's a great screen and I was considering a spare before something else came up.

It really comes down to whatever you're happy with. I just thought members should be aware that there are other options to what vendors carry here in the states.

Corey the top unit of measurement is in mm. I don't have a Puig as I've read those are notorious for fitment issues.

Clark, that's still a sticker and as confirmed by your own review, not wide enough to reach both edges for full enclosure. The MRA is factory tinted and not removable. Granted, we're splitting hairs here, but if you're OCD with how things fit & finish, these details matter.
