Nice The new R1s are going to be showing their faces around here shortly. I was at a local Yamaha dealer talking to a friend. He said they are expecting two silver R1s any day now.

He said I could have one but i'm poor

Hey Big Daddy, look at those power valleys. lol I bet the honda would be pulling on you while you were hitting that valley, even if your valley is 10 more hp higher than the honda

 

That would be correct if the Honda was pulling steady through that area, but just look at the build up prior to going down the valley(kinda like the g1k grand canyon hole it falls into) but not near as bad.

Thats a Nevada silverwood (a distant cousin to the Cal redwood).. Just think how much bigger the topend gap between the R1 and 10r would be if the 10r had an up the arse undertail exhaust...me thinks it slows it down just enough so the Rwheezy gets a sniff....:rock :thumbup :scared

Im a Kawi and a Yamaha man. I think the ZX-10 is hot but I find its a shame nobody can at least match the body line with the exhaust can, the weird angle look just doesnt cut it.

I am also sure they will rock, cant wait to here from you when you get it :thumbup

Here is a pic of me and a ZX750 at Willow loved how steady it was in turn 8 due to its massive weight. And that bike was a full blown superbike spec with tons of goodies, to include a lightened swingarm and alluminium tank.

Enjoy your new 10R it looks like an awesome bike from what I've been reading.

Thanks....Yeah the can is @ a weird angle most likely to leave room for the riders foot right where the strange kink is.

Man, that is a sweet looking bike. I had a ZX9 back in 98 when the R1 first came out. I had tried to get one but there were none available so I "settled" for hte 9. Man it was a sweet riding bike. This year seems a lot like 98, hell even more so. Every manufactured has a new design out except for the king of the hill suzuki. They wil probably have a new one next year. What a great time to be a motorcycle enthusiast!

Onthe dyno sheet, I would bet that it is before a power commander was put on to settle down that huge midrange droop. Look at any bike with a full exhaust and not PC and you will see the same dramatic flop in power.

Anyhow, cant wait to see a few of them onthe road! Good luck with it dude!!
