i'm sorry to inform you that the r1 in the video you posted is a 2006 model year :secret: (just look at the tach, is the silver lined one, so the older r1)
ehehh, r1 07 is clearly faster in top speed than gixxer... our magazines states this, they gives r1 07 4-5 km/h faster than the gixxer and 10-12km/h faster than the older r1 06.
so in order
r1 296 km/h
zx10 294 km/h
gsx-r 291 km/h
cbr 08 287 km/h
but however i'm speaking about how fast is to accelerate...
and however as proven your link it's not good to prove gixxer is better:lol
it's just a reminder for the 07/08 owners, and if 07/08 was and is already faster than the zx10 , the newer r1 09 is a lot more faster (not in max speed but in the way it reachs the top) and i can assure this cause i own both m.y. 07/09!
not to mention that in the link i posted there are real back to back tests and not unreal tests based on the tach!
there is also to say that here in italy we got less restricted bike so the results could be different with u.s. bikes!
even if i own the 09 bike i must admit that when coming in the upper range r1 07/08 is one hell of contender :
