Has anyone ever tried to shorten their exhaust cans? I have a Ti-force exhaust and have been thinking about this for awhile now. I know I have seen this done on a race bike with a akro exhaust before. Anyone have any pics or a how to?

can anyone tell me in more detail how to shorten the cans? I have a graves TI exhaust. I really want to make it shorter. Also, does it affect the loudness at all? I PM'd Skard, but he has not gotten back with me.

um, no pics, just red x's. I just want to know how to do it really. I need to figure out how much I need to take off.

I got dimensions off of a Yoshi tech. Don't shorten too much, you'll lose bottom end. I didn't lose any ridability or throttle response. Make sure you tape up the carbon before you cut, don't want it to fray. My friends shop did it. Cafefully took him 4hours and charged my $150.00 cause i didnt want to mess up the cans myself.

anyone is OZ thinknig of doing this there is a mob in brisbane that can shorten cans professionally. they also convert pipes into straight throughs so if the cops pull you over u can say "but look officer i have a muffler" and point to the can which you know is empty but he can't prove it
