IMO, I think :fork should come out with a big bike. The hayabusa is the zenith of the bike world when it comes to power, almost every drag racer gets a busa and puts a turby on it. THere is no other contenter in this field, other then the new kawi and maybe if you even want to consider the beemer. If :fork came out with a big bike I am sure a lot of people would switch brands, as long as yami makes a faster and better looking bike, well, the better looking part shouldn't be hard to do.

they have there sport tourer the fjr1300. which is pretty quick but not in league of zx or busa. new 14 looks to give old busa a run until new busa is supposedly released for 07...but ill hold my breath on that...

I dont reckon Yam will, why? for what reason?..... the zx14 looks like just a revamp zzr and as for the BUSA oh hell, :lol yea its faster than the R1 ....... well it IS 1300cc kind of defeats the my busa is faster than your R1 shite eh? so my R1 is faster than his NC30.... whoopdee Doo Da!!!
Fact is the Busa looks like a baboons arse its the ugliest sports bike going, built for people on a double choc chip pizza diets....
As for handling the R1 has the Busa beat :fact like it or not, if you both can ride then the R1 is ahead....straight line speed? ok so the Busa wins but who FCUKIN CARES!!!!
The only time a Busa looks good is when every piece of plastic is ripped off and the bike is made into a street fighter!!.....
As for people sticking with Yam, i find Yam have consistently produced awesome bikes from the RD350 to the FZR1000 and ultimately the R1.... say no more apart from better the devil you know.

You really should get out more. :no :p

Which would you rather do a long-distance, high-speed sport tour on? An R1 or something like a 'Busa? Hell, give me the 'Busa anytime. Load that sucker down and do tri-state blast and still be able to walk properly.

As for the 'Busa being a bad handler, guess what? It may not be in literbike race-rep class but I can for one tell you it can handle corners better than you may think. Tell it to one of the guys in our regular group. He often brings his g/friend along and while he's not up near the front be can often be found smack in the middle. I had no idea that a bike like that could attain such ludicrous lean angles.

Then again, it's really not the bike. It's the pilot. :finger
