I know they are a forum sponsor but before they spend any more money on advertising I think they need to drop a few bones to get some customer service people with some class and decency about them. I called to order a seat bracket, and the parts guys was a real smartass and i had the part# so he wouldnt have to look it up. Quote, " Well iaint got dat der in stock", me:"ok, well how long before you could get it in", "Well ida have to order it from Honda itdbe 5 days or so", me: "5 days or so, I think I'll order from someone that can give me a better idea of when it would be in".

If it takes 5 days then fine, but dont tell me 5 days or so, shit he could mean 5 days or 3 weeks.

I own a Trailer sales company and I know that to bring repeat business your customers want you to treat them special which is what I do. I keep them informed, and I know we are talking a $20 part versus a $25k trailer, but business sales and etiquette dont differ that much. Owell, just dont understand the way some people do business, to each his own though.:fingr: Mr. Cycles

i ran parts dept for couple years. biggest deal is each manufacturer does things little different. sometimes they didnt have part in stock which meant long wait. im all for customer service. of course it depends on how long dealership waits to order part. if they dont have large enuff order. they may wait few days..adding to your wait. its impossible to deal with honda, yami, kaqi, suzuki...and tell customer exactly when part will be in. we use to just say it will take week. honda i got parts 2 days. suzuki was 7 days. yamaha was 5-7 whether it came from cali or georgia warehouse, kawi..5 days... KTM...6-10 weeks...tho they got better and made it to 7-10 days. really depends on location of dealer and where parts houses are at and when they order it. but still they could be little nicer to you.

i have to say i work at a dealership and i have dealt with mrcycles alot.

the part of saying 5 days or so is about right. we tell people 5 to 10 business days. sometimes it can be 3 or 4 weeks depending if the mfg has it on back order or not. you can not give a specific date on anything when you order it unless the customer wants to pay the overnighting fee and that has to be done by 11am central time. sorry you had a problem with mrcycles and hope you give thm another shot.

on a side note i think the people at a dealership are alittle differnt then most places because you are more relaxed at work then a office job.

i will tell you i had a complaint on me becuase i was talking to a customer and said yea man instead of yes sir. they had a fit about that. i really dont understand that but i have to be careful in the service dept

the dealership makes most of its money between parts and service.

If you own a trailer sales business, then we need to talk about a bike hauler for me:thumbup

I sell semi-trailers with liftgate like this below, but I can get you a better price on a bike hauler then you would at a dealer. Just let me know and I will check it out for ya. Need dimensions and specs and any additional info or extra options you want.

10-4, I'm sure I just caught that guy at a bad time, he wasnt that bad, I guess I have high expectations when it comes to sales. But you got in trouble for saying yea man? Thats kinda dumb. I try to get a good feel for what type of person s on the other end of the phone and if hes talking kinda, well, not businessy, then I''ll hang right there with him.ya I work with beer distributors, and, they are of all types. One customer I may be straight business, then another I'm cutting up with and so on.

yea i thought it was stupid in my mind either. it sucks working in the service side for the fact i meet everyone on the bad side. then they think i am robing them i really cant say i am or not but i do have to take care of the mechanics that do the work. i will hook people up on the parts side even when it messes wwith my money but when it is my mechanics i do take care of them. i have had to try alot better to make sure i dont do stupid stuff like that. like i said give them another shot if you need anything

southern118- people always want something more for less, especially at motorcycle dealerships.
but I did end up with all the parts I need to fix the 05 cbr600rr I bought yesterday

subframe $102.50
OEM rearsets $80 shipped
Vortex clipons new $119
seat bracket $18

Champ, I work at www.mrcycles.com and will apoligize for the way you were spoken too. Generally that doesn't happen, and there is no reason it should.James is right ( damn that felt wierd) when parts are out of stock usually if it is in the closet warehouse, it is about 3-4 buisness days and if it is the longest warehouse it is generally 6-8 buisness days. There is no way to estimate the day we will get the parts in, but we can estimate and give you a tracking number so you would know what day they will be at your house. If you would like, give me a call at 1-800-359-0567 ex.124 and I will take care of a forum brother as best I can. ;)

BTW, I've had nothing but good experiences with MRCycles. Usually have the best prices and great service also. they've always taken good care of me.

I got some front and rear stands, its been almost over a year and i'm still waiting for the right size front pin. :rant

flatoutmotorcycles has the best prices for OEM parts but Mrcycles has great CS. i had to replace an oil cover and a few screws and they were really helpful, even called me to let me know the cover screw was on back order. sometime 5 days for so isnt really bad, ive had people tell me, I JUST DONT KNOW.

The "I JUST DONT KNOW" is completely pathetic. I've gotten that a few too many times. How do you not know, when it is your JOB to know. You're buisness productivity completely relies on it.
