Hello.

Is there anyone here who knows how to make a low effect (105 Hp) to full effect (189 hp)?

R1 2007 its easy, but 2008 has different ecu and connectors. I need to know what color of cable i should ground on a yamaha R1 08 to make full power

Power restriction on my bike is killing me so please help anyone!

This is legal in my country if i pay my taxe and i will

The US versions aren't restricted. Some of the European and African contries have models that come w/ speed restrictions.

Yes my bike has power(100 hp) restrictions, but there should be a bypass? colored cable from the ecu, then ground it? what color? :) I need a super Yamaha doctor here that could crack my horsepower restriction
 
oh yes,
this is a very very interesting 3d,
if anyone knows hot to do it on a 2007 please post an how-to cause I've an unrestricted italian r1 07 and i was wondering if i could do a reverse thing limiting the bike, if it's possible it could be a very usefull thing and putting a switch you should be able to go limited or full and having 100 hp sometimes may help,for example when is going to rain or on a sliding road.
surely yamaha uses 2 different maps to restrict the bike and i wonder if they are inside the ecu of every r1 or just in the restricted ones!
please if somebody got some good advice go for it!
 
Whick countries restrict the bikes?

I am in the UK and i have never heard of this :dundun:

Same here, we run the Euro model and it's unrestricted. I am sure a power commander would get rid of it. That sucks, why buy a beast and they tame it by law to a 600 cc ... guess we have to thank the squids and green peace for that .. again :butt
 
Full Power <-> 100 BHP for 2007 R1

DEBRIDAGE R1 2007

1 enlever la selle
2 debrancher la batterie
3 debrancher la grosse cosse du boitier
4 fils 22 sur la cosse ( fil vert )
5 le couper assez long avec une cosse le mettre a la masse cot? faisceau
6 Mettre le coupe circuit sur off
7 appuyer sur les 2 boutons( reset et select) en meme temps et maintenir
8 mettre le contact:
au bout de 5 sec vous voyez apparaitre DIAG sur l'ecran de Droite
9 Relacher les boutons et rappuyer sur les 2 simultanement ( affiche les codes pannes )
10 faire defiler les code panne jusqu'a 63
11 appuyer sur select ( code panne 70 )et dans la fraction de seconde suivante sur reset ( sans relacher select !), maintenir les 2 boutons enfonc?s pendant 20 sec jusqu'a ce que l'indicateur de defaut moteur ( led Orange avec pictogramme moteur ) s'allume fixe ensuite appuyer sur select pour le faire clignoter:
icone fixe = 100 ch
icone clignotante = fp
12 puis coup? le contact pour enregistrer la manip.

FULL POWER R1 2007

1 take off seat

2 disconnect battery
3 disconnect biggest plug on ECU
4 locate wire nr 22 (green wire)
5 cut wire and connect the ?loom?-side to the mass (?loom? side is opposite side to plug/ECU side)

6. Put the kill switch to position ?off?
7. Push both buttons Reset & Select at the same time and keep them pushed in
8. put on the ignition switch: after 5 seconds you should see on the screen DIAG appear
9. Let go both Reset & Select buttons and push them again simultaneously (will show the different DIAG codes)
10. Continue doing this until you come to code 63
11. Push on the Select (code 70) and within a fraction of a second on Reset WITHOUT LETTING GOD THE RESET BUTTON AND KEEPING BOTH BUTTONS PUSHED IN DURING 20 seconds untile the indicator Engine Error (see orange engine indicator on your dashboard) lightens up continuously -> Next push Select to make this indicator start blinking.
Blinking Indicator = full power
Fixed Indicator = 100 bhp

12. Cut the ignition switch to register the manipulation
 
2008 R1 Full Power

I have it done on mine by my mechanic. Indeed the wire colors are different. I'm currently abroad so can't go to the garage and have a look. I know the wire is White/Green and that both LOOM and ECU side are connected to mass and I guess the manipulation at the Dashboard did not change.

Once I get back I'll check it out and let you know.

conect the loom side to the mass...
what is the mass? would it be ground,
i dont think mine is limited, but yer how do you know?
