You all lucked out, now that I cant ride for a while I wont have to come embarrass you guys with your big 4 cylinders and all.... this time! LOL!

Glad your better bro!!! I know you probable can not ride at VIR. But please come hangout. The RV is yours for your business needs!

He's just making everyone else look good because they're in front of him. ;)

i dont think there is any pictures of irish behind me anywhere which is a good thing i guess

Dang you guys and all your track days. I wouldn't even know where to start if I wanted to join you guys. haha.
Get a suit, sign up, show up :fact

Thanks Dan.

Is everything done through Nesba? If I pay them for the track day(s), what else should I budget? Besides fuel and booze. :D What kind of Lodging? I guess most of you bring your campers and RVs? I thought the Nesba thing was just the privilege of being a member of Nesba and then there was still the track day fee on top of that?

What about safety wiring? Do I start off in the beginner class or is there a placement "test"? :)

I have regular pucks. :)

You pay a nominal annual fee to NESBA for the organization then pay "trackday fees" for each trackday depending upon where you go.

To touch on some of your questions:

Budget items: Food, fuel, lodging, tires, maintenance, etc
Lodging: some will wimp out and stay in a hotel. Others bring their motel with them like Scott and Dan(finsl). Some of us sleep in our "Free candy" vans. Some tracks allow camping on site. Others don't.

Booze: Check track policy first. Some tracks are "dry" and do not allow alcohol even when camping.

Safety wiring is only necessary if you run in advanced. But, good for all levels. From the pics of you, I'd say you would easily fit in intermediate. However, if you've never done a trackday before, I'd recommend once in Beginner/Novice just to learn what it's all about.

:hammer:

My "neighborhood" track, DCTC is on college grounds so no alcohol allowed. I've heard of other tracks considering/implementing no camping/no alcohol due to problems such as what Dan mentioned at Jennings. I can't see them completely eliminating alcohol though as that's a huge sales aspect during races. :dunno

This is the group to go with!!!:fact
word of warning...

You'll soon find yourself owning a big toy hauler, skipping out on the wife to attend trackdays and figuring out how to spend every last penny you make on bikes.

Y'all have it easy. Try having four bikes and three riding disciplines to feed the addiction. Over the winter, will most likely be a fourth... :cryin
