If it's stock it's set at 13,750. That's what my '07 is. You can re-flash the ECU and move the rev limiter higher. But on a stock engined R1 there's no need because power falls off around 12k rpm's. The videos I watched all had the guy hitting it at 13,750.

Maybe that's just for the European ECUs.

correct raider.!!

13.75 rev limit is plenty.. dont wanna ping my engine, last longer...

i usually shift at 11 or 12.5 anyway.. when having fun...

Mine has a custom PC3 map on it and I know it goes over 14k. I've missed shifts before and seen it way in the red, not sure how far though.

To add I raced my buddies zx10r and before we took off i told him i wanted to race 4 5 times to shift at different rpms every race we are pretty much neck to neck however i wanted to see the difference

1st race i shifted every gear at 12k Result: He walked on me just a little bit
2nd race I shifted every gear at 13k Result: neck to neck
3rd race i shifted every gear 13.8 close to 14k Result i took of half a bike

Thats how my bike was tuned i noticed when he was shfiting from 2nd to 3rd i was still in 2nd

Ludjak, do you have v-stacks on there I'm trying to see wat are the basic mods to do to the R1 ? Also do u like the 08 better than the 06 what's the feeling there? Some like the 06 torque vs. the hp of the 08? :jump
