burn-z, by far that is the best looking and most tricked out new generation R-1 I have seen. I love the Agras covers, wish they made them for 07-08's.

Where is NSDQ when you need him. Jeff has a super sweet R1 with lots of exotics on it. His is very tastefully done.

Also, Shane needs to post up some pics of Chuck Grave's R1. . .well it might not qualify for this thread. . . it IS a WSBK. . . .made street legal. It has so much Unobtanium on it you'd puke. :fact If only us mortals had access to that stuff. :(

Just another post for Pilot and Carbon to post pictures on. But that's alright, I love to look at your bike's too. And BurnZ, I hadn't seen his before. I think he joined the Musketeers. I'll be prepared soon.

Where did you get those Agras covers for 09 r1??
Magical Racing in Japan. Just follow the links: http://www.moto-works.jp/

No trouble getting them. They are not stocked and made to order so be prepared to wait about 6-8 weeks. However that was nothing compared to the wait for the PVM wheels from Harris...12 weeks plus. Of coures I think a couple members can tell you about the wait for cmc rotors...2 years:scared

Thanks Broc. I can't wait to see your super double top secret bike revealed someday instead of just these teaser pics. Maybe I'll get to see it in person up at BIR some weekend.:sneaky

AGRAS does make some engine case covers for the '07-'08 just not the same style. I do like the '09 style more though:

No chrome bling, no extended swing arms, no 8" wide rear wheels, no spikes, etc . . . but WSBK-like road-race mods for their road-going R1. Post your pics!!
Do a search for blur1. One of the definitive bikes. Hopefully he sees this and posts some pics.

Im always amazed at the amount of money spent on these bikes and they always have crappy street tires on them...for god sakes get some DOT race tires like the pirelli Super Corsa! FAR superior grip and more aggressive profile for better turn in and handling!

Race tires on the street? :shake

I'm not touching it. :lol

If I had a list of prerequisite for bikes to consider as nigh WSBK-like, it would look like this:

Full Ti exhaust system with a CF silencer
Race radiator
Superbike forks (a la Ohlins FG800)
Adjustable-offset triples
Fully-adjustable rear shock (damping AND ride height)
Lighter aftermarket wheels
Superbike[style] swingarm
Monobloc front calipers
19x18 Brembo radial MC (or the like)
Quick-release steel brake lines
Narrow-band front rotors
Magnetti Marelli digital dash (or something like)
Chain adjuster with lifters (adjusters w/o lifters are DQ'd :lol)
Superbike tail

If your bike has all of this and more, or at least has most of the above (especially the first five), you get my vote. :crash

Been lots of discussion over the years regarding the heat range required, affect of repeated heat cycles etc as far as race tires being used on the street.
I understand, that and they never get anywhere near hot enough to work properly, on the street. I invited him out of the thread for a discussion but he declined.:)

I'm probably the new kid at school, may I play with the cool kids too.... :sing:
