Hey All,
Just wanted to see if anyone is currently running the translogic blipper kit. Have used their quickshifters in multiple race bikes in the past and am leaning towards them for the blipper on the 16 R1, just wondering if anyone has any real life feedback.

Any issues or concerns? I hear you need to run it on the dyno to get it fully dialed, and others say its fine out of the box - True/False???

Really dig the solo sensor/switch and the companys commitment to quality but havent been able to find much in the form of videos or actual user reviews.

Thanks!

Just bought a system for my 16 R1M. Will have feedback in a few weeks.

System advantages as I see it:

Its an independent systems and does not need the Yamaha ECU blipper function enabled. (so not a one off licensed investment, can be used on next bike)

Has its own ECU which modulates cut time dynamically based on TPS and realtime Rev range.

Interfaces with each individual injector, FBWire TPS /Throttle butterfly control much the way the proprietary ECU would.

Blip intensity and cut time are both adjustable (Dyno requirement here perhaps - but only if you want to dial in for a very specific feel (ride style) and conditions. Out the box will function adequately.

Translogic supply many of the WSBK teams

Cons:

Need space to install ECU
Requires full access to injectors to connect up
Tuning based on LED status codes so while no need for laptop, one needs to have visual access to the ECU during tune time (Not serious since a one off usually if done at all)

Hope this helps...

Question: What's the best install location for the shifter ECU on the R1M. Considering cable management etc. I have a Road Toll system computer installed in the front right console space (just above and behind the front right headlight) so that's not an option anymore for me. Ideas?

No clutch, no malfunction.

As i said i use the Blip-assist with factory settings.

It was a downshift at very low revs, maybe i need to fine adjust the shifter in the low revs.

The Blip-assist can be adjusted in different bands 3000-5000 / 5000-7000 / 7000-9000 / 9000-11000 / 11000+

I can see it in the video now you tell me, but i didnt experience any issues while driving, and i dont intend to change the factory settings.

I can not recommend the Translogic product high enough, one of the best mods i have made on the bike.....

I met a guy with another r1m who HAD this translogic. He told me that he had to send it back because it stopped working. Translogic told him it was because the system got too hot (above 161*F) but they did not tell him if it was the box or shift sensor. He assumed it was the box because it was mounted near the motor. Just mount it away from the motor I guess.

Bringing this back from the dead since i just got done installing it on mine (perks of being a dealer for translogic i suppose)...No splicing is required at all. It is all plug and play for every last wire and plug.

Is the Techtonics CAB auto blipper you sale still available?

Do the settings work out of the box?
Yes, we offer both.

They're a bit apples/oranges. The Translogic is adjustable for multiple RPM bands, whereas the CABS has only one set blip value. The Translogic is also engineered to downshift clutchlessly, whereas the CABS is really not. It can be done with additional hardware, but it won't be as smooth, especially if downshifting at different RPM ranges.

I have no issues with using the clutch. Does it work out of the box?

It has a little knob that allows adjustment for blip - it may or may not be to your liking as it arrives, but it takes literally less than 1 second to adjust. That's more or less a matter of preference.
It's next on my mod list along with the Motoholders subframe.

Thanks.
