I've been having charging problems with the old girl , but bought a new stator, rectifier , relay and today I decided to put the new rectifier on and it's not plug and play. I have 4 red wires and 1 black , I'm not the best with electrical, and would appreciate any help , Thank you

What's the brand? Are there any markings on it(1,2,3 or A,B,C...)? There's a schematic on the last page of the service manual. Your bike uses the 98-99 plus the 00-01 supplemental. Pic would be nice.

Do you have a multi-meter? You should be able to trace all the wires. Black should be ground. You can Ohm it to ground or the negative battery terminal. Should have less than one Ohm. You can also Ohm all your red wires to the positive terminal of the battery. Only one should be less than one Ohm. The other three should show open to your positive terminal. Those will be your stator wires. I'm going to PM you and swap phone numbers. We should be able to figure it out. I wouldn't randomly connect it. Let's get the wires sorted first.
