I caved in and also ordered yesterday, did expect it to be a little kinder to the wallet but I guess supply and demand. Can't wait to strip open that midpipe box like a kid on xmas. On another note, does anybody know someone with the already tuned bikes? Just curious on the feedback as well.

I watched the only vid that was in the resource section and it made no mention of it. Also, we don't need help disconnecting them, my question was what does your flash do about them? The 20 and up R1 has sensors that were added for the Euro5 crap.

Also at about 11min into the vid first you say don't upload more than one tune into the handheld, then 5 seconds later the viewer is directed to do exactly that.....

I don't understand the problem with lots of real answers to real specific questions..

from what I understand, Once the bike is flash tuned, there is no more need for the O2 sensors so they can be unplugged as they will now be disabled. Not sure if that answers the question. I can give you more detail once we perform this flash when my tuner comes in.

There are no codes when you disconnect the O2’s. Our flash handles those errors. The file is open loop so the O2’s are not needed. They only cause issues if left connected.

The video says not to load more than one file AT ONCE. Meaning load only one file at a time to prevent issues.

You may not need a video to disconnect O2 sensors but some do and you will for sure need the video for the other step. It’s not complicated but no way you would do it if not directed. We like to be thorough.

Just finished one here in SoCal. Owner is picking up tomorrow and will give me his first impressions. Not sure if he’s a member here but I’ll ask.

Yeah part of it was, Graves on the phone today was asking me specifically if your tune does something about the new sensors which the 20+ models have. I was like, uh well.....

He asked because it could be a reason why they'd have to modify existing exhausts which they have in stock to add the bungs for those new sensors. Not that they'd be needed on a properly tuned bike though.

At this point I'm probly most curious about how this tune affects those with the bikes that exhibit random shutoffs. Mine goes to the dealer so I can jump through the usual hoops to play nice with Yamaha for warranty purposes then once done with all that, it'll be time for pipe+tune

Check our IG story now. Full graves system with flash and no lights and disconnected O2’s. Just did it here.

Explain the random shutoffs. I’m not familiar. Might be able to help. We help with the BMW shutoffs.

I and others on this forum have reported random shutoffs outta nowhere. Happened on my 2016 R1S and my 2020 R1M for sure and I THINK it happened on my 2015 R1 but really not sure, that was a while back. I loaned it to Dave Moss for a couple weeks haha and he said nothing but that was track usage.

Problem occurs, at least for me, at low rpm when clutch pulled in. Like one it was just with clutch in and switching from first to second while taking a right turn on city streets.. Other times this, that, but always when clutch is pulled and it's basically like the fueling is pussy-ing out. Bike never loses electrical power and always starts right back up.

My R1M now sometimes idles strangely with a slight lope to it, and at the low end of the range. It's idling at like barely 1200. Anyway, bottom line for me across more than one bike and for others in this forum, it'll just randomly cut out in a uh fuel kind of way.

I've always felt like there are some gremlins in the fueling on the R1. All 3 of mine were stock and not flashed... Problem occurred with full tank or close to empty and with both factory battery and shorai =D

Seems like the same problem as some newer BMW’s as well. Not all but some and especially with pipes.

If a customer experiences it we can just bump the idle to remedy it. Not a biggie.

Mine just turned off on me the other day at a red light. I have a 2020 R1 with 1700 miles. I pulled the clutch in to come to a stop and the bike shut off. A red icon showed up on the dash. Started right up after 30 seconds.

Is that diy video available to everyone or is it included in the purchase of the flash module?
Password protected site that will be sent to anyone that purchases the handheld. Passwords will change weekly but all verified purchasers will have access.

It may sound like overkill but we have a lot of people trying to copy what we’re doing at the moment so we’re trying to lock down as much as we can, while still helping our customers the best we can.

Thanks for the fast reply. On a scale of 1-10, how difficult is the process of disconnecting the o2 sensors? I do my own bike maintainance and such but I wouldn't say I'm very mechanically inclined. Currently have an akra slip on on the bike but will be getting a link pipe prior to flashing the ecu.
