I have come to the conclusion that echo7 is a post whore:finger :lol

I would not use synthetic for break in...but I WILL use the mototuneusa method for my next newer bike. To me they have done lots of testing on their method and have good solid results by using regular car motoroil for their break in.

From what I remember the synthetic oil is not recommended because of the fact that you are trying to seat the rings and synthetic oil would defeat that purpose.

i switched to amsoil at my first oil change(600miles) and i now have 4000 miles... no burning of oil here.
