I have a 05. I dont really like the shape of the seat, how it looks kinda like a heart. I dont like how everything is either black or body color except for the rear pegs, rearsets and levers. But I do like how the gauges are oriented. It took some time for me to like the taillight. I also think the body lines are just beautiful, mostly the tail and the tank.

 

I don't like how the headlight flickers or how the dims project a foggy image on to the light covers that can't be seen while off.

i have a problem with my right mirror. it vibrates like hell at a standstill...when i take off its fine though

 

I have an 05 R1 (not to be confused by my name), absolutely love it (much more than my R6), but HATE HATE HATE HATE the seat.

I am not complaining that it is ugly, but that is is VERY uncomfortable. it is like sitting on 2x4s.

The Yamaha tick almost drove me crazy paraniod but the Akras fixed that & yes the seat is a brick...

 

But the yama seat is a lazy-boy compared to that of a 1000rr honda,THOSE things suck.

I absolutely love them. Feel rock solid to me!

I run 36PSI front, 38PSI rear, 32PSI and 34PSI for trackdays (which i have not been able to do on this bike yet, 6 weeks and counting )

Had dunlop, and michelin(sp), and i am no tyre expert, but i just think these tyres 'feel' better.

NO DOUBT THE HONDA RR SEAT IS LIKE SITTING ON A CINDER BLOCK IN COMPARASION TO THE R1.

Hardtokill, I was talking to a guy from LI right after I got my R1, at Marcus Dairy. He had the Devil Carbon fiber slip-on and he loved them. He told me that he was on this forum. It was a black R1.
About all I know. They did look nice -- well almost as nice as my Microns

 

What headlight flicker you guys babbling about? I've never seen a flicker.
