Head work, cams, custom tune, lighten the bike as much as possible but the gearing you odered will make a huge difference.

 

Drop the weight. I think it's like every 10lbs lighter you are is like 1HP more. Plus it makes handling easier and faster. And it's free.

 

You will eat them both with -1/+2, up to about 150.

Turbo charge it, put a nitrous system on it, up the gearing and extend the swingarm. It won't turn, but it will haul wholesale ass in a straight line.

:fact....now to the OP are you trying to beat them in the 1/4 mile? around the track? standing mile? top end?

As Meister pointed out if this is a top speed race you just fked yourself doing -1/+2

-1/+2 I top out around 165-168 and I'm a big rider as well and I always have my buddy's repsol and 09 gixxer 1k pull on me. 240lbs is a lot to move on a 400lb bike. Typically within 20-30ft frond tire to tire

after learning how the stock ecu controls throttle position at different rpm's, i'd go with the other guy and do the flashtune.

 

WOW!!!! anyone can go fast is how quick you get there is what counts.

 

How about a little goodwill. You send me your ECU and I'll flash it for you. All you have to do is cover shipping. I'll even put a custom map on it if you like. I've done a few for members here, and they all like it. I reflashed ecu with a -1/+2 is a total madman!

im 6'1 and weigh about 226, trying to get back down to 205... Ill def pm you about the falstune....appecaiate it much... I know custom tunes are where the power is hidden....i wont sell my bike, everybody here and gixxer 1000's.... I like my 08 blue R1 standing out...
