I inquired about your Catalyst Racing Composites undertail before, ended up just filling the holes on mine. You've got a good list of mods there, bike is looking :boobies

 

I love it! The smooth under tail looks great. You took your time, and done things right with detail. My self I don't like the gold, I would of continued with the anodized red. Congrats though.

I like what you have done here. There are a lot of little details that a guy like me can really appreciate, since I have the same bike. I've been questioning whether or not to remove the stripe sticker on the mid fairings, and now that I see what it looks like, they are for sure coming off!

 

ha yea that sticker has to go!!! I would leave the R1 though ive seen pics without it and its just too plain in my opinion

 

No offense, but I HATE the grips. And I'm not too keen on the gold bolt kit on the engine. But the rest is :boobs

I want to get a set of ohlins on it this winter but that will depend on how much money I have to blow at the time. but I am going to get it dyno tuned, i am planning on getting the black trim around the headlights painted red, and possibly a few other pieces painted, i think I going to get a red smoked windshield for it and see how I like it. but all in all I am running out of things to do to it lol

Chris said it exactly. There is a flash that is supposed to mimic the YEC software, but it does not have the same potential as the actual kit ECU. The guy just calls his "YEC" but he is in no way officiated with Yamaha or YEC.

No offense to the OP, just want to clarify there is a difference.

 

Sorry i was not aware that it was not the same. from the research that I did on it at the time it was new and sounded like the way to go. I got all YEC software with it for programming and the programmability of the ECU is amazing. My understanding was that it was similar to the race YEC but retained the headlights, signals, and display, which is what I need because this is an everyday driver not a track bike. I am curious to know what the difference would be in the programming between this and the race version

Fantastic looking bike zosicks. Now the bike has the looks and that YEC flashed ecu will give it the go! Add a few YEC stickers and really piss some people off!

First, I just want it known that I am not knocking the OP at all or trying to ruin his thread. This is his submission for BOTM and shouldn't be used to argue this point over again.
I've had this discussion in other threads and I take the word and advice of guys like Shane McCoy about a product like this. I pointed out this was not an officially licensed YEC product and I along with a few others feel very strongly that it shouldn't be advertised as such. If you want to make that a personal attack on me then so be it, but I'm not getting into it with anyone on this thread.

I love the m4 side mount. This exhaust is actually off of a zx10 that was totalled. I had to make some cuts and rewelding to make it fit but I was really pleased with the end result! And the sound is awesome too.

 

Is there anything that I need to do or someone I need to contact to get entered into the bom contest?
