I believe 120 or 130. But at 1st gear, you'll be doing a wheelie. Why would you do this to your engine?

@ 15,000rpm in 1st gear you will be doing 171km/hr... i don't know how possible that is but even 140km/hr in 1st gear is amazing!

 

I wouldn't have guessed over 100 in 1st. That website has it at 140+

 

huh? :dundun: gearing commander for stock 09 gearing has a top speed at rev limit of 97.5 mph... and in real driving conditions it would probably be about 95 mph

NO NO NO!!! I had a friend activate PRM in first at those speeds and ended up blowing the exhaust bearings clean out of the bike!!! its way too much power in that low of gear :fact

 

Next time that pretty 'lil white light goes on in first gear.....check your speedo. Not sure why even that, but that would be a good time to shift.:crash

 

try reaching the reverse redline!

I've only had mine a little over 10k in 1st gear but didn't look at the speed. Sorry, no help.

 

My Gixxer does 155 in first, but again, it's a real bike, I think the R1 does about 65 in 1st.

Oh crap, I hear those exhaust bearings are a PITA to replace. You need that special grease to lube them.

Yup... special grease and a spring loaded inverted pneumatic bearing tool (which are not cheap and hard to find!!!)

100mph @13,500 - 14,000rpm.. thats what i remember...

 

I don't the limit but I definitely hit 100 mph in 1st gear

if i'm getting going off a light on highway i shift at 62ish mph..

a buddy of mine was telling me he was shocked when he 1st took the 09
for a test ride... he wacked the throttle open at 60mph and the front wheel just popped up with no effort at all... still shaking his head when he brought it back to

I think after the reflash (which raises the limiter a little) I can do about 100 indicated. I end up shifting at around 95 mph, though.

 

stock I think i hit around 96 in first with a speedoDRD calibrated to match GPS. with the ecunleashed I think its around 100 since you have a 100 or so more rpm but i cant say for sure...usually not staring at the cluster when going that fast in first

 

09 with standard gearing is making 156 km/h on 1st. Btw, 07-08 is doing 172 km/h
