just out of curiousity.....I have heard outragious story of how much people are paying for their 2002 r1 since they are so in demand. I would like to know who paid the least and the most, and where? so feel free to reply...thankx I got it for 11,700 cash.

that makes no sense...

Unless ohio has no sales tax, how is that possible- the machine costs the dealers just over 9 grand! "OUT THE DOOR" (at least how I know it) means the all-in price, machine, tax, freight/prep if applicable (though usually i dont pay either) I would certainly understand if you paid alot less being out in ohio, not on either coast, but 9200 out the door sounds absurd. :bs

sky - if you paid 11,700 OTD, it's a little high, but it's certainly reasonable at least on a NY metro area scale - here you're lucky if you get one for 12,500 OTD....

I got a very fair shake and paid 11,800 for the bike, all taxes and licensing fees plus the extended warranty- so that was in my opinion a killer deal, and that's on the silver machine, which is in such high demamnd they're just gouging everyone- try going to the dealers now, they'll laugh. I'd love to know how to get one for 9200 with everything (including tax)- get me dealer info and I'll buy a second one today.

WoW! I guess i'll have to post the invoice. Dealers pay $8700 for the bike, if you really want to know. I've bought a lot of bikes from this dealer so i get deals...My price was $9200. When I left the dealer my invoice after everything was $9805.**. When I post that invoice I would like you to make a thread called " Scud is a dumb ass idiot". Don't be mad at me cause you got raped for that bike. So :butt

Wow, Clova, that's constructive - :bash and very mature.... BTW (that means BY THE WAY) at the price I paid with a warranty I'm far from getting raped - deduct that warranty and it's about a 1500 dollar difference, which is fine with me, because over here (in society) you need to factor in the much better standard of living [IE: we don't have to deal with country-bum-**** cow tipping assholes like yourself]

Lastly, if you take a more careful look at my original post, I didn't flame you, I simply stated the obvious: you evidently don't have the mental capacity/ reasoning skills to figure out that "out the door" mean final price - however you seem to have corrected yourself, so I guess you acknowledge your oversite :thumbup -- way to catch on smartguy! :iamwithst

$8700 dealer invoice? where did you see that? i heard last year's was around $8200... did it really go up that much? i would find that very odd.

anyway, i paid $10,700 OTD, with tax, registration, setup, freight. but i had to drive 3 hours to get that deal and my buddy bought an R6 at the same time. no dealers around los angeles would deal at all, and most are asking more than retail and asking rediculous setup/freight, etc fees... like $12k+ OTD.

If you're paying more than $11,000 OTD, you are paying too much. Shop around and walk in with a cash deposit in hand.

oh, just in case...

BTW, yes, there certainly were better deals out there - the best I found was a pre-order price of 9295.00 OUT THE DOOR through a dealer in wisconsin *(pay tax when you registered) however I didn't want the hassle to ship and then god-forbid the machine comes with a ding or something, what do you do, DRIVE to wisconsin!. I also shopped around within a few hours of NYC, and honestly the best dealers were willing to do was 11,400 with the warranty (10,900 without) for me 400 bucks was well worth having the piece of mind of having my dealer 10 minutes away! feel free to call up the queens and NYC dealers to see what their prices are out the door, if you don't believe me

Re: Re: Scud

Scud, I don't give a damn what you bought with your R1. You did flame me. You said It was BS. Call it what you want. I know what I paid. I like how you assume I live in a country somewhere. That shows me the level of intelligence you have. Your one of those corn bread fed ******* that's never been out of the state you live in. Who somehow came up with enough money to get a new bike. Sad to see how far that set you back, bum. Yes, you made me take it to the insult level. Futhermore, FU.......

I'm paying 10,577 in Alabama for a silver (whenever it arrives:( ) but I'll have to pay sales tax when I tag it here in Florida, so I'm being violated to some degree:butt , but what the hell, I'm no businessman. Hey Scud, I don't have a lot of Yankee buddies, but :thumbup
I'm still waiting to see Clova's invoice, personally, despite the fact that I'm a fellow cow-tipping dumbass....

now you really proved you are a moron

Clova, now you really demonstrated you're idiocy:

1) All those low prices that you're using to try and suggest that we got raped, take a closer look my moronic friend, they're from CANADA.

2) I didn't assume you lived in A country - last I checked Ohio was in THIS country - not "a country somewhere" however you're lack of english comprehension certainly supports the fact that you are indeed a cow-fucking retard from the boonies...

3) I happen to have lived in Europe for 3 years, and I've probably traveled to more countries than you can count (ummm, can you gus count out there? obviously not too well - (IE Tim's VA price of 9800 w/o (that stands for WITH OUT slow boy) add that tax and you're into the tens...

4) Don't be so senstive - it makes YOU sound like the corn bread fed ****** "you did flame me...furthermore FU" ooohhh...sorry son, should I wipe the tears out of your eyes, aw, don't cry pal....

by the way, the price wasn't a set back at all - knock wood, we new yorkers do pertty well out here - I'm totally happy with the trade off of paying a bit more for things in return for our excessive NY salaries and mostly for not having to live anywhere near whiny little bitches like yourself :bash STOP WHINING BITCH:finger

satanic...

Satanic man, you're no dumbass - at least you certainly sound intelligent and apparently your english comprehension is well above clovas!!!! I have nothing against people from the midwest - in fact I love to travel and meet new people, it's awesome to experience new cultures (both domestically and globally - im lucky to have a job that sends me everywhere and i love it!)

laughs - the truth is, you guys in the mid west have a great advantage of paying less - trust me, it was tough to turn those guys in wisconsin down - the dude faxed me the sales-slip ready to go, with a 9250 in the bottom line!! I can't tell you how close I was to wiring him the whole damn pile right then and there!

anyhow, bottom line is at the end all of us get a little violated (with that tax thing) except for you lucky guys in new hampshire! DAMN, I swear the next piece of real estate i buy is gonna be a winter-time cabin up near waterville valley, JUST so I can buy and register (and insure) my vehicles up there! AWESOME PRICES. Kudos to all you guys who got great prices- even you clova, little whiny bitch that you are! :hellobye
