2007 Clutch Cover -- nothing fits?

I ordered a new clutch cover (4C8-15421) for my 2007 R1.

But for some reason, the bottom bearing hole changed from 22mm to 20mm, thus the old bearing won't fit.

A Yamaha dealership told me that the clutch cover was superseded by a different part, but yamaha-motors parts catalog doesn't reflect that at all. I got a new bearing anyway that fit.

Now the push rod is too long. Does anybody have any idea what's going on? As far as I can tell none of these parts are superseded.

The parts match, but these new parts don't fit the old parts. The only remote thing I can fathom is I bought a used bike with a partially rebuilt clutch from a different model year? But the gasket fits both covers! I am praying that a new push rod will be the end of all this and I'm not embarking on a magical journey of buying a whole new clutch. But my mind is boggled as to what is going on.

Any ideas?

What push rod are you talking about? Are you talking about item #1 installing into the side cover?

I see item 19 and 20 have been superseded

Yes, #1 is what I'm talking about, it's too long for the side cover. I know some of the items have been superseded, but the cover and the rod haven't been, which is slowly leading me to the idea that the guy who had the bike before me put a different year's cover on? And then put a new rod on because a 2007 rod wouldn't fit?

If the product ID was stamped somewhere on the cover that would pretty much answer my question, but I don't think it is.

Furthermore this thread makes me think that I have the cover/rod from a 2006?

well today I sourced a 06' and 07' clutch cover (both damaged) they are nearly identical where it matters, the 06 needs a slightly longer clutch axle rod (which the 06 has) and the 07' clutch cover is about 5mm (roughly) taller when placed on a flat surface

Yep, I agree. Now you can get either the 04-06 cover or an 07 rod? Check and make sure what year the motor is. It may have been replaced?

Push Lever:
2004 - 5VY-16382-00-00
2006 - 5VY-16382-10-00
2007 - 2D1-16382-00-00
2012 - 5VY-16382-10-00

Yep, got some differences here! Check out the 2012 part number!

its total bs the way the installation is i had to look somehow and get the push rod to go in the cover's hole WHILE holding the spring in the right spot so the clutch lever would actually work

So you got it to work?

Good to here. Thanks for the update. Did you find out if that's the original motor or a different year?
