Went for a little drive today. Stopped by a (new to me)Kawasaki dealer, they had the new 250 ninja sitting there. Said it was on the floor for 2 hours........ So we bought it :) Wife named it "Marvin"

Now we got to get her(wife) ready for Jennings:)

Thanks Randy! She's one happy camper now.........

how does it sound?? lol wish i could just ride the hell out of one of those sometime!!! what are they settin ya back now??
Sounds really cool, lots of compression braking. I was kinda surprised :) Told the wife we need to get a jet kit & pipe/header ;)

We had been waiting for one from another dealer, stopped by there today. They had one there "sold" 7 others sold, so they said. Taking deposits, for 3900 + tax & license! I was like, are you guys for real?? They stared yelling at me, shipping - set up fee and something else. I just laughed and walked out. Yell at me, loose a customer.

This new place we went to, wanted MSRP 3499. So I figured save on gas & phone calls & bought it. Never thought we would have been coming home with a bike this morning.

I don't know why but I want to ride one of those on the track soooooo bad. Looks like it's gonna make one hell of a track tool.

Yeah I was just thinking the same, nice bike to learn on, not too light, not too big and not too fast yet fast enough.

I would also like to take it for a spin, they scream quite well.

Good choice of bike for the missus and congrats on the buy

I had an 89 Ninja 250 and it looked the same as the 07 Ninja. Bout time they changed that thing.

my girl bought an 07 to learn on. i was pissed she missed the makeover. those little things are fun to ride. the powerband is. well. 250ish. but it turns and leans by itself. crazy.

My first street bike was a 1991 ninja 250. I loved that thing. Of course i was only 18 and it was so much better than my 1986 Kx 80. They are really making them look good. I was going to goto my dealer today to look since its so cold and snowing up here but i ran out of time before work. Getting inpatient waiting for spring. :)

Pretty fukking weird.. My first bike was a 91 250 also.. and I was 19.. rode it to DMV to get my license. I rememeber the instructor askin how did I get the bike there before I took the test. I was honest.. I answered "I rode it". LOL.

Needless to say that little Pearl white / red Ninja stickers and red wheels stole my heart. I could do clutchup wheelies in 1st.. and it topped out right at 120mph.. Hell I might even scan a pic later. Even back then the Ninja 250 was one of the best look bikes (it looked EXACTLY like the Ninja 600R).

Also even weirder I learned to ride on a XR80 as a kid. I was probably about 11 years old.

I'm almost scared to ask if you had a FZR600 with the dual headlights in the mid 90's.

Kawi deserves to sell the crap out of these things - they seem to have really done things right. Hope there's a lesson for the other 3 in this...
Bet it would be fun as hell on a tight canyon road or a small track. I'd love to take one out for a spin. If I could talk the ball and chain into riding I'd pick one up in a second.

The funniest part about the cheap bastards is that they hold more of a percentage of their value than the more desireable bikes. You may lose a little but there's always another noob willing to pay you a couple hundred less than what you paid.

Yeah, green martian:lol

I bet the dealership that yelled at you was the one on Navy Blvd. They are very overpriced. I was shopping for a new ATV last week and they are 1,300 more than Mobile.
That was them, couldn't believe there(two of them) attitudes. I was getting my yamaha parts there too, since FWB went to the dogs. Now I guess we have to stick to on-line places for parts.

Cool, that is great that she will be able to ride with you now.
Yesterday she wanted to get use to it in the school parking lot. I was going to ride over there on my R1, it was still set up for the track. Figured it would be OK to go around the block with. But instead I took the truck, then a sheriff pulled up in the lot to watch her. I had to laugh, thinking good thing I didn't ride the R1 over:)

Pulled the tape off the lights today & plugged lights in. So we went for a ride with her, was really fun. That little bike is really cool looking on the road.
