i also have the bikelitez FE and i really havent had any issues with the holes. i pluged one with a scew and the other 2 really dont give me issue and you cant see them unless your squating under the tail looking at it.

if they were inexpensive i would get em but otherwise i might use the money else where

 

Looks like they are going to be available on 02/12! I just purchased one in white!

 

The holes don't bother me either. I may put some bolts through them but thats about it. Too bad they don't have those covers in yellow yet.

 

Just spoke with Gregg and he said that the first batch is going to be out this Thursday. He also said he will be doing Yellow as well very soon.

Gregg are you going to make the covers for the dual exhaust mount openings as well? I need them because I have side exhaust.

 

I hadn't thought about it but I'll look into it. The problem is that most people will probably keep their underseat. I was also thinking of making a conversion kit to install maybe an R6 tail on the R1. That would require side exhaust obviously.

I've made a kit to put the '07-'08 GSXR-1000 tail on the Busa. I've wanted to do one for the R1's with underseat exhaust. I was thinking that the '08 and up R6 tail might look pretty tough on an R1. I've got an R6 subframe here so I'll start seeing what it will take to get it mounted up on the R1 frame. The tricky part is the seat but Corbin makes one for my Busa kit and it fits awesome. I could have them do one for my R1 kit also.......stay tuned. If you guys have interest let me know to help steer me in the right direction.
