2015 r1 oil cooler leaking

I’ll apologize in advance because I’m sure it’s been discussed already but having trouble finding the exact answer I’m looking for.

Bike Info:
I have a 2015 r1, I bought It brand new, I had the recall done on it back when it just came out. I only have 8k miles on it. Never wrecked or curbed it to cause damage

Problem:
The exhaust has rubbed a hole into the oil cooler making it leak onto my pipes

I’ve read some other posts saying they had the same issue after they had the recall done. That it was installed incorrectly.

My questions:
Has anyone had any luck on getting the shop to pay for it? Can you get Yamaha to cover it? It seems like it’s a design problem. Also if y’all did the work yourself what parts did you use to get the proper clearance off the exhaust? Thanks guys! Ride safe this summer!

there's a little bit of play in everything. if they tighten up the exhaust with it pushed forward then it'll rob clearance. there are a few areas on these that rub if you don't pay attention. you have to put the header connections on but not tight then make sure the mid pipe is all the way on then you tighten from the front back the cooler you pull forward just a bit and then do the bottom bolt.

You can but that's just a bandaid and your then going to be messing with the fitment of the fairings. As long as your bracket isn't bent then it's the exhaust being too far forward. Headers need to be all the way into the catalytic converter. Snap some photos of that if you can where it goes in.

The bike is at my shop right now so i cant any
More pics at the moment. These are the ones i took yesterday. I thought about the fairing fitment and im only moving it a little over 1/4 inch. Then i think ill bend the tabs on the oil cooler that the fairings bolt to back until they line up. Which i “think” will be okay. As far as the exhaust, it has an aftermarket mid-pipe. When i compare my headers to the ones ive found online there appears to be a bend in mine. Thats the puzzling part
