Just paid for my Blue R1, due in next week. I'm having someone else pick it up for me since ill be out of town.

$15649 is complete OTD price, I live in NJ as an FYI.

I started dealing with crossroads power sports in PA last year due to their affiliation with some of the track clubs, they have been nothing short of great. The pricing definitely reflects the amount of money spent in general over the past year but their pricing has always been very competitive from day 1. Plus the team their is great, everyone is helpful and knowledgeable.

So did you include your sales tax, title and licence plate back in NJ in your OTD total? Or is that price just for the bike OTD from the dealership? Just wait to make sure we are comparing apples to apples here. :dunno

Probably should of clarified that one, I don't street ride so no need to pay tax and register. I get the certificate of origin when I pick up the bike, that is as good as a title to me. so my total OTD for my riding purposes does not include tax, title and registration.

Not quite sure how it happened, i was just kind of on the internet at the right time, haha. But I wasn't going to buy until june-july, and then this deal came along. I thought it was too good to be true, so I talked to three separate people in the hopes of finding some new information, and them talking me out of it, but everyone seemed to be of a similar mindset to me... So i did it. No ragrets...Not even a letter! :grin2::grin2:

....I'm aware of my erroneous spelling of "regrets"

Anyway, now I'm the proud owner of an R1.. Dream accomplished. Now i just need to get it past break-in so I can have some real fun.

break in, pffft
no need for that
do 4-5 half throttle roll ons from 4-8000rpm in 3rd and let engine braking slow you down
then do 4 or 5 3/4 throttle roll ons from 6-10,000 rpm again letting the engine braking slow you down.
it's that engine braking you want, the pressure helps the piston rings seal.
should take no more than 50-100 miles, then change oil and filter and you're good to go

It sucks how much that scares me, haha. I've already got 230 ish miles on it (haven't owned it for very long), and i've been super nice to it, with a few decent throttle hits... Nothing above 8500 though, becuase I'm a wuss... Starting to get frustrated though, haha.

There have been experiments that have shown that the difference in engine performance AND measurements doesn't exist from one break-in methodology to another. So, f*** it, I'm in.

Plus, i need to feel full throttle on this thing. Can't wait till my next ride, now!:grin2:
