Could you notice a difference in performance? If ya had to guess how much did ya gain in the low end/top of the power band?How was the install? Do ya think ya can take the k7 now?

 

As far as performance goes I noticed a little more pep both in low and high rpms. In lowrpms I don't hear or feel that "Garggle"ness of the engine struggleing to take off because of the increase of enahuast flow. Def more powerband as thats what exhaust systems do. It screams at hi rpms and has a nice bassy tone to it when I give it a few quick rev checks under 3000rpm The install was not a problem at all and all you need to do it is your basic hand tools. What do you mean about K7?

I have the TRC slip ons, now all I need is the y-pipe. Any idea where I can pick one up at?

I bought my 3/4 system straight from the factory. Try calling them at the factory and see if you can just order the y pipe.

 

i am waiting for my slip ons to come in. i need a y pipe as well cuz that looks sick. and i could do without the extra heat as well.

 

With the slip on and the Y pipe and maybe a filter do you need to run an PC

 

I just picked up the 3/4 Yosh TRC Carbon fiber system and it looks and sound awesome. I am pleased with it. I removed the silencers before I even started it for the first time. It has a very deep and bassy sound to it and it screams when I open the throttle down the highway. The replacement Y pipe is chrome plated and it prob weighs close to 4 to 5 pounds lighter than the stock Y pipe. Since the new Y pipe eliminates the cat the seat doesn't get so hot and it is actually comfortable to ride. Also there is so much more exhaust flow comming out of the pipes without having the cat and it makes the sound even better. The only down side was the $1,100 price tag to it, but whatever...stock is just not an option! Here are some pics, let me know what you all think.

I'm thinking that's the system I'm going to go with. Looks good on there :thumbup. Have you had your ECU replaced yet (just wondering how it's all working together)

i know that akropvic makes a universal y-pipe. i was also lookin into yosh y-pipe but they dont have it on their website as a seperate buy. so i went with the 2-bro's pipe for other reasons and am planning on getting the akro uni. i hate on anyone who got the 3/4 for system just for jealosy purposes. enjoy you S.O.B. and hope it works like i know it will.

Yoshi systems looks sweet. I went with just the Akro Y-pipe and it made a big difference. How does the bike go without a PCIII running a half system like that? I'm still using stock cans.....

 

hey HJSR1 i got a question for you, when you installed your 3/4 TRC did your kit
come with exhaust clamps for the mufflers where they connect with the y-pipe? or all that holds them is the springs? wouldnt they leak? also are you using PC with youre setup?

 

All it came with to keep it together were springs and trust me its more than enough to keep them together. There is quit a bit tension on those springs. Yes I got my ECU replaced while the exhaust was already on it. No you do not need a PC to run the 3/4 system by itself or at least thats what Yoshimura tech told me. However if you were to do the an air filter as well you would need a powercomander because the bike would be leaned out. That is my next mod. For all you guys who want to see a video I'll see what I can do, but trust me they scream with silencers out.

 

I just put the Yosh TRS Carbon cans on my 2005 and they look and run great. I did end up putting a Power Commander III on it and it definately makes a difference in how well the bike runs. I wasn't able to find an exact PC III map but I was told by the dealer that he would recommend the Akro Full System map with a stock air filter like mine. I have been running it this way for a few weeks and I am pretty happy with it.

I just picked up my 07 and I ordered Yoshimura TRC slip ons as well............I'm glad you posted these picks so that I can see the final result.

 

i'm most likely going with the yoshi's, had a full on my cbr600rr and it screamed so I know it will sound badass on my 07 R1...

I just baught the 3/4 yosh pipes, i picked it up right before closing, got home opened her up, and only the mufflers, no Y-pipe. I think they forgot to give me the other half of it. Did it come with 2 long white boxes? or just one. I only got one, going back in the moring to complain and bitch, I know what I ordered and paid for!! So is there 2 boxes?
