Hello everyone long time reader 1st time poster.
Well I have an 2011 R1 with two bros slip-ons. Didnt know what to go with but heard these before so went with it. Im going to order a y pipe for it to try to cut down on the heat some. So here comes my dilemma what to go with for engine management. Im a casual rider and do prefer mx but I dont have the time for it. I dont have time to get a dyno tune or anything. I would like to know what i can get with this setup plug in, have a map loaded, and go. Im working 12 hour days 6 days aweek so pretty tired writing this. tried searching and everything is looking the same.

I would get it flashed, check out Flashtune, they have mail-in ecu flashing($150) or an interface($350) to do your own flashing at home. Power Commander fuelmaps are downloadable into the ecu itself, with no PCV required. Flashing removes factory throttle restriction, stock ecu closes throttles to 84% at 12k rpm . Removing this restriction alone in the ecu gains almost 8hp (on a stock R1) Flashing the ecu, then tuning the fueling with a Bazzaz ZFI and ZAFM or PC V and Autotuner will be the best for smoothness and power on your particular bike. I'm currently using a PC V Graves fuelmap with a few changes, flashed into the ecu on my '12 with the F/T interface. The Graves carbonfiber y-pipe cover($150) looks WAY better than stock (or any other I've seen) and should reduce heat some. Where are you located?, maybe one of the F/T interface users could flash your ecu for you, and install an appropriate fuelmap for you.

wish i would have just gotten the bazzaz for control of upper injectors. the pcv is ok but your guessing about upper RPM fueling.

I'm from Sioux city, ia. Will have to look if anyone is around me when I get on a real pc instead of a mobile. Ihink I'm going with a flash and bazzaz route. Just wondering if it will run right with the 3/4 exhaust and a bazzaz for now and ill send the ecu off in the winter

They only way to make the bike smooth is with a flash.:fact....Same thing I said via PM, I could have the ECU back to you inside of a week.....and your bike would be like a new bike when you get the ECU back....:fact
