I just installed an Akrapovic slip on and would like to eliminate the cat and exup by adding the cat eliminator Y pipe. I wanted to know how much louder it would be then just the slip on before I spend $500 on the Y pipe. I do a lot of street riding and do not want it to be obnoxious

I installed the Gianelli ( arrow) slipon, here olso same noise as original.
End of next week will i install a link pipe and make a movie.
I bought de Gianelli because it have a bafle and hope the noise will be ok with the link pipe. And have the ability to easy change to a bigger silencer for track day.
Max db level on track here is 95.

Just installed my Hindle last night and put it on the dyno.... it's SUBSTANTIALLY louder!

People recommend watching video's, but then you're relying on the mic of the recording device and your speakers. The video's do not do any exhausts justice... in person it sounds much more mean.

I actually have an SPL meter, so I'll measure the Hindle and post my findings in this thread: http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/361-...a-yzf-r1-r1m-general-discussion/494473-another-15-r1-exhaust-option-hindle.html when I have a chance.

I'm running the Moto1 slip on with M4 Titanium mid pipe. I NEED to have ear plugs in. Its loud. But it doesnt sound bad. I get many compliments at the track. It drowns out all the other bikes around me and you can hear it from the opposite end of the track. But like I said it sounds good. Its not annoying. I also have a custom tune so it runs properly. The power is great and the throttle smoothness is amazing.
